Inspired?! Want to inspire others?! Welcome to the DSP Inspiration Calls!

DSP will periodically request layouts using products from the DSP Store based on Theme, Technique, Product, Layout Style or any combination thereof. Please read through the call and ensure your submission is close to what we have called for.

All layouts, inspiration and participation in our calls will always be greatly appreciated. Chosen inspiration pieces may be included in our Blog, Store Inspiration Newsletter or anywhere deemed appropriate.

Theme - There will be a wide variety of themes so watch the forum for the current calls
Deadline - Deadlines will usually be within 2 weeks
Gallery to Post to - The call information will include a link for the gallery to post to

Layouts or inspiration pieces will need to be DSP products only and will need to be clearly marked with Product Name, Designer Name, Keyword, Link to Product. Please put a copy of the journaling in text in the description also for easy reading.

Selection criteria will be based on overall design and inspiration, clear documentation or credits, photo quality, balance and more.

IMPORTANT! Please see this thread for our Submission Terms. (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=25502)

You must be 18 or older to submit layouts to the DSP Inspiration Station.

Some of the things I look for when choosing layouts to appear in the Inspiration Station newsletter (yes you can blame me if your layout wasn't chosen - sorry!)

1. The first layout of each section of the newsletter has the journalling printed. So if you include journalling on your layout (AND also include it in the description), you have a better chance of being featured. Plus, I personally love layouts with journalling :) This does NOT mean your layout will not get picked if there is no journalling because I like those pages too.
2. For Club Digital and CD calls, I try to feature as many different kits as possible so that people can get a good idea of the goodies that each one contains. So if you choose to use a kit that has not been used by other submitters, you MAY have a better chance of being chosen.
3. I aim to try and choose a variety of themes (kids, adults, pets, travel etc) where I can.
4. Likewise, I try to make sure that I choose layouts from as many different people as I can because I think showcasing a variety of scrapbooking styles is important.
5. I keep an eye out for multi-photo pages because I think they can be a real challenge to many of us.
6. Obviously the page must fit the call specifications (and must only use DSP products as stated in the rules)

In the end, it is not a scientific process. Scrapbooking like most artistic endeavours is very subjective. Probably every one would choose different layouts if it were up to them. Seeing as it is up to me, you get the ones I pick. I hope you enjoy the Inspiration Station and find the above helpful. If you have never thought of submitting before, why not give it a go. You never know :)
