While Meryl is away on holiday we have decided that this weeks theme for Our Heritage will be "Special Places." Places that are special to your family, your ancestors, your neighborhood, your state, your nation. This should give everyone something to scrap. Remember that we are working on our heritage albums. LO should be posted in the heritage gallery and linked to this forum by noon DSP time on Wednesday, August 15th to be inculded in the poll.

Here's my 'Special Place' LO. Diana's Special Place. (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=206341&cat=847)Her ancestral home, Althorp, where she is laid to rest.
I wanted to scrap this as a tribute to Princess Diana on the approaching 10th Anniversary of her tragic death and capture the feeling of the Nation and the World for future generations of my family.

Here's one I did after seeing this thread. I didn't know if I had to use Meryl's kits or not.... this one is using Autumn Roses by Linda Rechtin... but thought I'd post it anyway. Thanks for the inspiration.

Here's my Special Place LO, entitled Fairview (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=207025&cat=847). I would have had it done sooner, but started researching the history of the church and got off on a genealogy thing and you know how it goes... TFL!!

No photos this week so I've made up a story of a memory of a special place - A Special Place (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=207644&cat=847)
Well, it's not a made up story, that's real, the LO is made up.

Next weeks challenge is Travel - any travel you would like, any destination, any mode of travel.
The following week is "Books I loved as a Child" - I am particularly looking forward to seeing the pages for this challenge - I will start the thread now, maybe you would like to discuss your favourites? Interesting to see what you all come up with!
