I'm glad I decided to lose all the work I'd done in Picasa and switch over to ACDSee several months back. I still have a ton of stuff to redo, but I'm really loving this program. And this week more than ever before. See, I bought a brand new computer, monster system for the programming and web development I do every week. I got a huge 500 gig mirrored hard drive so I have plenty of storage space. Well, on my old system, all my scrapbooking files are off on a second hard drive (D:). So I was worried about how much work it would be to get them changed to be on a the C: drive on the new system. I backed up my ACDSee database and did a restore, after that was completed, I was able to go into database management and tell it to take the stuff on the D drive and remap it to C. About 10 minutes later, and I'm ready to go! I'm so impressed that I didn't have to jump through any hoops to get this done, I was kind of expecting to have to create a temporary D: drive and then move all the files, or move them on my old system before backing up, something like that. But the database tools in this program are just top-notch and made it so easy. It's things like this that really make a program worth paying for.
