Virtual Photographer plug in for Vista....get yours here!!

Hey gals!! After two month of whining about Virtual Photographer not being compatible with Vista I had the problem solved! I e-mailed the VP people in June about VP not working in Vista and never heard a word back. Today, out of the blue, I received an e-mail saying they were sorry for the delay and they attached a Vista Virtual Photographer!!!! YIPEE! I tried it and it works like a charm. If anyone wants it, pm me your e-mail address and I'll send it your way. :yahoo: :tup:

Wow - that is cool. I am still on XP but it is great to know that it has been updated for Vista :)

Just another FYI, he said it isn't on the website yet but it will be soon. I checked and he's right...the old version is the only one there. I have no idea why he was so nice to send it to me early.....so really, I'm more than happy to e-mail it to whoever needs it. :-)

WillJenni, I am new to all of this, and was browsing through here trying to get a feel for what software everyone uses. What is Virtual Photographer? Is it a program to edit photos or one to scrap with? I am trying to find a good photoediting software and the name of your thread caught my eye.

That's OK! Don't apologize! This is the place for questions! What are you using for software? I don't use full photoshop either....I use PSE 5.0. I think it's good with Paint Shop Pro also. VP is a wonderful plug in for special effects on photos. They are really beautiful! Check out your software before you dismiss it. :-)

Thanks. I am currently using my Microsoft Digital Imaging that came on my computer and Paint.net. I downloaded the trial to PSE5, but it won't work on my computer, even after I downloaded the patch. I tried out PSP 11, and loved it, but I wanted to try everything before buying. I am notorious for buying something and then finding something I like better, so I thought I would try out one and then another, since so many offer free trials. But with the problems I have just trying to run the Adobe stuff, I will probably end up with PSP 11.

Willjenni, I just realized that I had posted here before, when I first started here. I have since gotten PSP X and had tried to download the VP, but of course it didn't work. And then I started recieving the email notifications of this thread. Would you please send me the link to VP? I really appreciate it.

I am playing with a Vista laptop, and remembered this thread as I wanted to add Virtual Photographer. On their home page, Virtual Photographer (http://www.optikvervelabs.com/), they say Now Vista Compatible. Not sure how recent this update is, so maybe this is old news.

I would go with the website if they say it's Vista compatible now....I'm sure it's the same one they sent last fall. If you have any issues with it though, I'm happy to send the copy I have. I have had to problems with it on Vista at all. :-)
