Pray for all the DSP members traveling from all over the world to come to our event in Las Vegas - for safe traveling and a wonderful time.

For my Aunt Lynne who has been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.

For my mother who has blocked tears ducts in her eyes and may have to undergo surgery if the medication doesn't clear them.

For Nicky and Chris's wedding in November, that they may have a long and happy marriage.

Please pray for Amanda Wiegers. She was thrown from a horse a couple of years ago severely injuring her right shoulder. She has had five surgeries and was getting along fine until a physical therapist pulled her arm back behind her and tore out all that the surgery had done. She is in severe pain, and her left arm and back are also in pain due to the injury to her right shoulder. She has been told by a surgeon that she may have to have ligaments or tendons removed from her left arm to replace those in her right arm (thus losing the function of two fingers in her left hand). She has also been told that she may have to undergo an amputation of her right arm as a last resort to alleviate the pain. Amanda plays the saxaphone in our church praise band, and especially wants to retain the use of both hands. She is getting second opinions at Barns Hospital and the Mayo Clinic. Please pray that she will have surgery by a skilled surgeon who will let God guide the surgery to restore the function in her right hand and arm and alleviate the pain, and will leave her left shoulder and hand intact. Also, Amanda's ears need healing. I just learned that she cannot play her sax loudly anymore because of the danger of 'blowing out' her eardrums.

Also please pray for the physical therapist who caused this damage, that she may receive forgiveness, become more skilled, and cause nothing but improvement to her patients.

Please pray for my son, Mark, and his wife, Hollie. Hollie has had three difficult, painful miscarriages. Also please pray for Mark who just told me: "I am going to have carpal tunnel surgery as soon as possible. I am going in to have them do tests on my hands on the 31st and then schedule surgery after that."

Thank you.

Prayers please for a friend of mine (Felicity) just diagnosed with a brain tumour which is affecting her sight. She has her own family to look after and her frail elderly mother and in addition, spends much time caring for other people. She is about to have biopsies and results a week later.

Update 1st Sept. She has had her biopsy and the results are back and her tumour is grade 3 (out of 4- 4 being the poorest prognosis). She is thankful that the tumour is treatable in the short term, although the long term outlook is not good.

Please pray for my health.. that the doctors can figure out what is causing my pain and neurological symptoms and help me.

Please pray for my young friend, Katie, who suffers from dysautonomia as a result of Guillan-Barre syndrome. Dysautonomia is a medical term utilized for a group of complex conditions that are caused by a malfunction of the autonomic nervous system (ANS). The ANS regulates all of the unconscious functions of the body, including the cardiovascular system, gastrointestinal system, metabolic system, and endocrine system. A malfunction of the ANS can cause debilitating symptoms and may pose significant challenges for effective medical treatment. (*from the dynakids.org website).

Please pray for our dear friend, Faith, who is 12 years old. She was diagnosed with heart problems in November of 06 and was flown to Denver (from Montana) for open heart surgery. They were not able to surgically correct all of her problems. Now she has been diagnosed with severe systemic lupus and it is effecting her kidneys.

Thanks, Fran

Please pray for a friend's daughter, Amy and Amy's unborn daughter who is due in a couple of months. Amy's unborn daughter's heart is not developing properly. Amy was told that the baby would have to have about five open heart surgeries before age 2, but then the lower right ventrical began to develop, and the predicition was reduced to "probably one" open heart surgery.

Please pray for our friend and mailman, Rick Smith, who has Multiple Sclerosis.

Please pray for those DSP members who have specific health problems, but who are reluctant to ask for prayer for themselves.

Please pray for all of those young men and women who are serving in the military services, and especially for those in active combat. Also, pray for the families of these young men and women, that they will have God's comfort and peace.

Please pray for my DH and his family as they face their grief over the loss of his step dad about two hours ago. He has been quite ill over the past two years and is now resting peacefully in a better place. Various members of the family, however, need your prayers mightily.

Please pray for all the soldiers, active and inactive, that they may be blessed for what they do.

Adding mine....

Please pray that my elderly mother will finally sell her home and be able to move back up north to be with us to help care for her;

Please pray for my daughter and son, that they may work out their problems with their respective partners and be able to provide happy homes for their children;

For a very dear friend of mine, that he may overcome his alcoholism and be the wonderful, warm, caring person we know he can be;

And finally, for my friend Tim and his wife, they are expecting, that she will be able to carry this baby to healthy term, and that they may have the girl they are so desparately praying for.

Even though we are partially through our prayer vigil, I'm adding to this prayer list:

Mila (pronounced Meela), who has applied for a job which she really wants so she can be closer to her family, and for which she is highly qualified and would be very effective - that she receives this job.

Sandy (not a DSP member) who tends to be bitter about everything and has good reasons for most of it - that she has an attitude adjustment, learns to forgive, and begins to look at the bright side of life.

Barb (not a DSP member) who is, and has been for several years, deliberately causing problems for many people where she works, - that she is filled with love and empathy and consideration toward others, and so lifts the others up instead of plotting their downfalls. (And that whatever in her past has contributed to her problems, she is able to see it in a forgiving light and move on.)

Please pray for the leaders of all of our countries, that they may seek God's guidance in all of their decisions, have the wisdom to recognize his guidance, and the courage to follow it.

editing: Adding Max who has alzheimers and his wife, Mildred, who is caring for him at home but has macular degeneration so badly that she can hardly see.

The first time through this prayer list between 3 and 4 a.m. DSP, I was praying for God to help people through their health problems. Then I started thinking about how Jesus HEALED everyone who was brought to him. He didn't say, "No, because you will be better for having to go through this." He HEALED them. Completely healed them. Even the Centurion's servant was HEALED when the Centurion asked. And I remembered that somewhere there is a scripture where God says, "You have not because you ask not."

So the second time through, I began to ask God to COMPLETELY HEAL those with medical problems.

Please know that due to a family death, I will be out of town tonight. I will be praying for all those on the Prayer List, plus any who might need prayers and for whatever reason do need feel comfortable asking. I will be bringing my prayers to the Lord during my allotted time, but will not have access to a computer.

I just wanted to mention this.

First want to thank CathieMarie for starting this prayer request.

I went through each and everyone's request, typed the info and set up my prayers for later (7-8pm) so I dont' miss anyone.

I have to say that reading everyone's requests makes me realize how grateful and blessed I am and that there is always someone worse off (as we all know).

This is the very first time I have ever been involved with something like this and I just want to say it was a wonderful experience. I had my list printed and during my hour prayed for all those who are ill, need guidance, and healing. I feel very blessed to have been a part of this. Thanks so much to Cathie for setting this up and for those who also took part:love1:

I wasn't near a computer last night either, but had my list and wanted to let you all know that during my hour and part of the hour before, I prayed for healing, strength, and guidance for all who need it, also that God would hold safe in His hands those who are troubled or have placed themselves in danger. Thank you Cathie for putting this together!
