i have the whole thing done, except for the bottom text where it says "coffee."

i used text on a path for the "starbucks" part, but i can't seem to find a way to get the "coffee" text to curve the way i need it to and end up right side up.

can anyone help?

i have tried "distort" and "warp text" and that will allow me to get the words right side up, but then the letters are distorted. : (

Well I am probably not going to have a great answer for you - but if you are having trouble getting it to work on the path properly - you may just have to do it all individually - take each letter and then rotate and position it. Sorry not much help! You should be able to get it on the path the right side up, but I myself have trouble with that so hopefully someone else can help!!

BOO ON YOU! haha! : )

i did think of that ... but you would think there has got to be an easier way to do it!!!

i may give that a try, though!

What program are you using? I can tell you a clunky method for PhotoshopCS2....

LOL I know!! I'm sure there is an easier way that's just what I've had to do before when I just can't figure it out!!

copy the PATH that Starbucks is on, so you'll have 2 paths the same shape and position. Then put the Coffee on the other path. That way you have more control.

There is a way to put both on one path, but I get so lost dragging all those end and start points having it flip up or down the wrong way, it's faster and easier just to use a duplicated path and put each part on its own.

ok emma ... prove it! haha! of course, i bow to you, photoshop goddess, but i don't think what you just said would make the starbucks right-side-up and also the coffee right-side-up. but i am perfectly willing to have you prove me wrong!

or if this will work, then i am certainly missing one of the steps.

geez --- i started working on this LAST YEAR and never was able to get it the way i wanted it!

i did, however, yesterday try the "type each letter and rotate it into the proper place" method, and that worked. it might not be perfect, but it is pretty close.

so emma ... can you show me an example. and tell me what step i am missing???

thanks for piping in, though, goddess!

I don't know if this will help, but I'll tell you my clunky method. I make a circle with the shape tool, and rasterize it. Then I duplicate it, and make the copy slightly larger. I put the copy over the original, leaving a moon-shaped "slice" at the bottom, select the copy, then switch to the original and delete all but the slice. Select that slice, click on "make path from selection" and then position the type tool on the inside of the slice. You may have to work around with spacing. HTH!

glad that worked for you!

Man, the path duplication was supposed to be the EASY way! You just copy and paste the path, drag the duplicate away, type on it, and drag it back over to line them back up.

HOWEVER, hopefully the following is easier than that. Here's what I do:

circle tool set to Path option (in the Options Bar, the middle of the 3 tiny icons)

Type on the path for the top part.

In the Paths Palette, click the Work Path layer (NOT the Type path that was created).

Click the Type tool on the path again at the bottom and type in the word upside down and commit.

Grab the Direct Select Tool (the black arrow tool hidden/grouped under the Pen Tool) and use that to drag the bottom word up to be the right way.

hth
