I love that! Very very nice work! One thing, does the tag book come with the hole for the ribbon closure, or did you do that with a hole puncher - I am just curious

OH NO IT COMES WITH THE HOLE!!!!!!
and it is the perfect size of a standard hole punch. I punched out the hole in my paper first then stuck it onto the page of the book.
I'm working on a tutorial for this.
I also used a xyron machine to sticker everything including the ribbon edge.

Oh, yes, Xyron is about the only way to glue stuff like that! And the tag book was 5' across, which, surprise the size of my Xyron!
I suppose you could also print directly on Epson's sticker paper? They've got A4/letter-sized self-adhesive paper, I've got a pack but haven't tried it yet...

Tape, you are right! They have come out with that, forgot ... for those without Xyrons, that would be the way to go with this.

YES!! sticker paper that's a perfect idea!!! Double stick tape and glue stick....you could even cover it in one side laminating sheet then glue it and it would be water proof.
okay Sammdc...Carolyn, You HAVE TO DO ONE!!! I can't wait to see what you come up with. do you have any left over paper scrapping materials???? you could use some embelishments all over it.
Hey did you know that grandparent's day is coming up Sept 9th???? You could make alittle mini album for someone....could even leave the photo areas blank.

Wonderful Book. My granddaughter is only 7 months old. I would love to make her first book. So you are going to write up how you did yours. That would be so good. I will be gone from Sebtember 9 to the 15. Maybe you will have it done by the time I get back. Glad I came and saw your post.

Me too - I haven't gotten rid of any of it - I have all the deco scissors, tons of punches, ribbon, stamps, all the color wheel colorbox ink pads, all types of glues, tape runners, charms, embellies, and of course, PAPER. Now I need to move my computer setup to my scrap room ....

Definitely I will have the tutorial in the next few days. I've been offline since friday. Yes I love hybrid projects so you could definitely use those paper scrapping supplies with your digital!!! I think there is a whole gallery for hybrid projects.

I have a boardbook question! Keep in mind I'm a VERY novice paper scrapper. I used glue stick for the one and only paper album I made a couple years ago and wasn't happy with its lack of sticking longevity.
I just started a hybrid 6x6 boardbook and created the cover for it last night. Unfortunately, I used photo paper and scrapper's glue I bought just for this....the glue is holding wonderfully, but it bubbled the paper in spots. All I accomplished while trying to smooth it out was to rub off some of the ink. So I think I need to sand it off and redo it.
So my question is, do I NOT use photo paper? Did I do something wrong? Is there something different I should use, either in the paper or glue department? How does everyone print their backgrounds and get them on the book?

For my board books - and Ive made several of them - I use double sided tape for the straight edges and in the centre and I used a generic photo safe glue for where I couldnt get the tape to work ( Like rounded corners etc - ) - I have one that I made 2 years ago and its still stuck fine -I think if you use a glue made for photos then it will work for photo paper. You have to use it quite sparingly though - I spread it with a cardboard spreader ( just a piece of card reallly!!

I think the double sided tape and also the tape style adhesives are your best bet....liquid glues don't have the control like the tape formats....and the more glue you have on there the more it will bubble.
I used my xyron which was awesome! just run it through and the whole back side has an even layer of adhesive.
xyrons are awsesome investments especially for us hybrid scrappers...and book makers.

Sounds like tape is the trick then. I'll give it a try! Thanks :)
