Photoshop?

I'm interested to know the highs and lows of each program, how happy you are with your program, or what you'd rather have. Thanks!

I use photoshop 7 - supremely happy and overwhelmed daily with what this programme is capable of - however on my wish list would be a text/font preview box - so I could see what the font I want to use looks like - right now I have my trusty font manager ( font lister) open at the same time so I can see what each font looks like

photoshop cs. i won't use anything else (unless i'm forced to, lol).

lauren- what i do to 'preview' fonts is simply enter my text, render it (click the checkmark), and then click on the font drop down menu and use the arrow keys to flip through the fonts. when you change that- the font changes. it messes with your 'history' though (the only drawback to it). i'd love some sort of preview box- but this will do, lol.

I'm also in love with photoshop - my DH gave me CS for Christmas (previously "borrowed" 6) I love the new shadows/highlights filter, the new text capabilities............ but!! how do i learn everything? I start off on a say, masks mission, whilst doing that get sidetracked by the pen tool........ too much exciting stuff & too little time!

I love PS. It has a really big learning curve to it but once you get the hang of it you can do so much with it. I think I only know about 1% of the things you can do with photoshop. One of the teachers who taught it said he only knew about 25% of it.

I learned to digi scrap on PS7. I was very frustrated at first but then it finally clicked I get so excited about all the neat things Im learning.

I tried out PSP and DIP but felt like I was taking a step backwards from what I already knew. I love the layers in PS which was something I couldnt figure out in DIP.

Im saving up pennies right now for PS CS! I downloaded the trial version of it and loved it! I cant wait to learn how to do text on a curve!

I just wrote a long reply in our class section, but why dont' you try our basic Quick Classes in the University. They will walk you through your first pages in Photoshop step by step!
