Journaling is always a struggle for me! So I either rush through it or leave it off my layout entirely! But there are so many stories and moments that I want to share with the person viewing my layout! So my challenge is to find new and interesting ways to express these thoughts!!! Let's stretch our minds (and our comfort level) and push our creative journaling to the next level!!!
I have run across so many awesome ideas in my search for creative journaling!
Here are some ideas to get you started!!!

Ideas:
~make it a script
~tell a story starting with Once Upon a Time...
~fill in a the blanks Who? What? When? Where? Why?
~use quote boxes on the photo
~use lyrics or a poem
~write it like a journal entry
~etc.......

I really hope that we can all stretch ourselves and that as a group we can come up with a variety of fantastic journaling ideas!!!!

Ok, my brain wasn't fully functioning when I posted the challenge details last night! You can start the challenge today!!! I meant for the challenge to run starting today, but late at night all caffeine has worn off and my brain just doesn't work the same way as it does in the morning!!!! LOL
So if you are eager to get going, by all means post today!!! You will certainly get the posting bonus (and then maybe you will have time to do more than one LO!!! LOL)

Got two of the new kits (so far:D) and hope to get something done, although I baulk a bit at "letting it all hang out" when journalling:D. I like that we have more than a week to get a LO done, that is such a big help to me who has to agonise for ages over every tiny little decision when creating a page. I'm a bit confused over chat times too Nicole(and then I have to convert it!!)..can you set it out in small words and big letters for people like me:D?

Here's mine.... I tend to journal, when I have a lot to say, in essay style. I tried to challenge myself to do something different with this challenge. I journaled in little sections, using the kits elements as journaling mats, to tell the story and move the view around the page. I like the way it came out... kind of different for me, kind of fun.

Believe me Nicole, I have LOTS to agonise over:)

The chat time is great for me (I had thought it would be on a Monday afternoon Aussie time, when I wouldnt have been able to go, but must have converted it wrongly) It will be 1pm Tuesday here on my side of Aus...perfect (at least until daylight saving time starts)! Now if my computer keeps on behaving and not crashing everytime people speak at once, I should be fine:)

Anyway I have waffled enough! And guess what???? I have a LO finished (worked solidly on it for hours and hours and agonised over everylittle bit of it:D. Her it is:

I'm not great at the journaling part because I hate for people to hear my private thoughts. Actually, I write letters to my girls regularly and put the letters in their 'baby box'. That way, someday, they will know what I have been thinking-especially if I am not around or I have alzheimers and can't remember. They each have about 30 letters about their past which I had sealed and can't even remember what I wrote. They get them someday far in the future.

Chris- glad you asked! Tomorrow is going to be the first chat, so I hope you all can make it! I am going to have it be pretty relaxed and fun this first time! There will be a freebie, I will be talking about my October kits and what you would like to see in them, and I was also going to talk about some layout ideas I had for you and for anyone that has expressed interest in creating some backgrounds on their own, I was going to give out some tips and ideas for you to think through! I am going to stay away from any program specific tutorials, so it will be mainly ideas and suggestions in a general sense, but I think you all will have fun!!! By the way, everyone, I struggle with embellishments on almost every layout I do. I don't want to add things simply to have them there--instead I like the elements to have some connection with the pictures or journaling in the LO. So, I think I accomplished the connection part of my goal by matching the flower embellishments to the ones in the right hand picture, but I'm less convinced that they are appropriate for the overall layout. Bottom line, CC & suggestions are more than welcome.
