Does anyone know where i can get some darker themed scrapbooking elements - some are going to be for more grown up halloween pages, rather than just pages aimed at kids,.. also i have some friends that are very into that goth lifestyle and i'd love to do some pages of photo's of them, but using the more traditional looking elements just won't really work, or give me the feel i'm looking for....

any ideas?

thanks a bunch
Christine

what about Irene's Alchemy kits (http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=advanced_search_result&search_in_description=1&keyword=alchemy)?

See Vallie's gallery (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=36223). There may be a few layouts that have the look you're going for, like this one: Gothic Fantasy (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=142240&cat=3365)

Check out post #74 here (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=25914)

oh yeah. I forgot. You can also recolor elements or apply the burn tool (if you have that program) to elements to create a darker look to some of the elements here at DSP!

Thanks for the complements! Hi! Yep, just fiddle around with colours and textures and masks and overlays. Choose a font that goes with the style too. Half the battle is getting a good photo to start with, so take lots of photos while everyone is dressed up in their goth gear, lots of poses, with mysterious looking faces. You can always change backgrounds but if you have a good background in your photos it can help speed things up. Use some VP filters too, these are great. Or play around with mixing bw and colour. Add a bit of WA or poem verse. And have fun!! :yahoo:

You can also download various Photoshop brushes to get the looks you want. Annika Von Holdt makes some wonderful free Photoshop brushes.

Vallie's gallery is the BEST though for that type of look! I Love all her pages!
