My dd is a diva! She loves very girly, frilly things. We are always doing alot of mommy/daughter pampering, so she loves going to the salon to get her nails done. I was hoping it would be possible to get a kit with getting your nails done, as the theme. Some suggestions would be a nail polish bottle (in pink color), an open nail brush applicator (the handle with the brush), maybe some nail files, tiny gems like the kind you can glue to your nails, maybe something like a vanity style decor.. like a lighted mirror ( but for scrapping it could be a lighted frame, or a light bulb border), some perfume bottles would be cool. a hand/nail dryer fan (could be made like puffy sticker or something with a staple). a pink and gray grungy style paper set. cotton balls. cudicle stick. polka dots. a black and white grungy paper. a word overlay (with different nail/glamour sayings covering the 12x12 area), polish remover bottle embellishment. I'd love the kit to have the "salon" feel to it. I have TONS of photos of my dd in the salon, if anyone would like to see them to get inspiration. The whole thought of this kit gets me so excited and I can almost see the layout done in my head, lol.

I hope someone will like this idea. I am so anxious to see something like this come together! I have plenty more ideas for it, too.

Amber did a beauty shop kit - maybe she'll do you a nail salon add-on pack. After she's finished giving birth of course. :)

Yeah, I already have her beauty shop one. It isn't the type of kit I need. I kinda need it asap, too. :) She will be out of commission for a few weeks, I am sure. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

Would the lighted frame from City Lights (http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=5279) work for what you want? Not really beauty shop I know but the only thing I can think of off hand. Maybe you could team it with something pink and use the photos to provide the "nail" embellishments. Have you got shots of the salon (the little bottles and things as opposed shots of your daughter KWIM) - or can you get some? I am thinking that since you need it quickly, that might be the way to go.

yeah, I already have the city of lights kit. I am thinking of using that. I have a few photos of the salon. I would really like a kit for this. I can wait. :) I do have some photos of a vanity room. That's a good idea, shazzt. I will keep those suggestions in mind. I am keeping my fingers crossed for a kit. ;)

Lauren did a kit quite a while ago also that had some girly kind of things, but more makeup type of stuff rather than nail stuff. It's called The Mirror: http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=379

Man you are picky, Lisa! LOL But seriously I know what you mean. Little girls and nails are quite the combination and you need just the right thing to go with. Sounds like you have some great ideas.

Meryl,

This is in the wong place but I sent you another message and I do not believe you received it. Please forgive me for posting in the wrong spot. I love all of your work and I would like to learn the weave method. I have searched extensively and cannot locate the instructions. I have seen your scrapalong posts and still did not find it.

I am especially excited to get in touch with you as you are from S.A. I was born and raised in Tongaat , right outside Durban but I now live in Reno. It is about 45 min from Lake Tahoe. I saw you tahoe layout. It is adorable. I hope this message gets to you and you can help me out. I am new to digital scrapbooking and I would love to learn that technique.

Thank you.

Easperee

Emma,

Thank you so much for the link. Do you know if there is a link on how to extrat a photo. i used one of the tools and was able to do that but I do not know how to clean up the edges around the person. I appreciate your time and help.

Thank you.

I'm not there or jealous either! Well, maybe a teensy bit.

Sounds like you have the kit done too, Lisa - not just the layout in your head! Those are great suggestions!

I don't think I could get it done asap either, but I'll be Amber's backup if she finds her plate, um, covered with burp rags or something, lol.

yay! I know I have alot of suggestions. :) I just became really inspired while looking at some photos of my dd. I have to leave the actual designing part to you guys, though. :) Thanks for offering, elizabeth. I am sure Amber will appreciate having a backup. I can't go wrong having the two of you put your minds to this kit. You are both great designers. Has anyone heard if she has had the baby yet?
