Here is the link to my LO. These are copies of my Dad's immigration documents and go along with the 2 LO's I did for last week's challenge.

Since I have the original documents, and wasn't particularly inspired to scrap a page of documents that are in my files, I took a slightly more artsy approach to the topic. You can see all the faded documents around my great grandmother. In my heart, I wish I knew so much more than the names, numbers and places. I wish she had left a diary - something that would give me a clue about her life and how she felt.
The journaling reads: Who were you, Esther? The documents remain. Where you were born Who you married. How you died. But were you ever registered at the bureau of hopes and dreams? We see a glimpse of your life, but will we ever see a glimpse of your soul?

Here's my LO using old documents. It is the ship's manifest that brought the family to America that I highlighted in my LO for last week.

Here's my Old Documents LO (finally!) called Piecing it all together (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=217644).
The picture of the gravestones is too small to see the inscription, but as I was working on the page and wondering how to incorporate the flowers and scrolly thingy into a LO about a man, I noticed that his gravestone has the exact same type of flowers and scrolly thingies! So I arranged the scroll and flowers above the photo of the stones exactly as they are on the stones! See a close up photo here (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=217647&ppuser=81914). Cool, huh?

Well I am going to use the LO that I was going to use for last week's but my computer wasn't working so I didn't get it uploaded in time. It actually probably fits this theme a little better. The background is actual a scanned in picture of the grandmother's journal that I gave my grandmother several years ago to complete that I extracted around the edges to get the 3-D effect and then the other document is from the typed version of my great, great, great, great, grandfather's journal that a distant cousin of mine has based his book "The Mormon Drapers".
The pictures are of 1. My Great Grandparents, 2. My great, great Grandparents, and then my Great, Great, Great Grandfather, the grandson of the one whose journal page you see. So the pictures aren't exactly old, but they are recreations of old documents (i.e. family journals). Hope that makes since.
