HI Everyone - ACDSee has released the newest version of their Photo Manager v10. The nice thing is not only have Heidi and Connie really done a fine job reviewing the software, they have put together little videos showing off the new features on their website. But the very BESTEST thing is that they have coupons on their website for 25% off the regular price AND 25% off the upgrade price which is already 30% off the regular price. So to upgrade is only like $26.25! Here's (http://digiscrapinfo.com/wordpress/2007/10/02/acdsee-photo-manager-10-has-great-new-features/) where you can get the coupons good until the end of OCT. (They're about half way down the page.) -c-

<<What, I just got ACDSee 9! I had ACDSee 5 and it took me awhile to upgrade to 10 and I am having a difficult time getting use to using ACDSee 9. I don't think I will upgrade for awhile, I wonder how different it is from 9. I just can't afford to be upgrading all the time.>>

And if for no other reason than the Photo Calender feature, this upgrade just rocks! I had used PM 9 for about a year, but the upgrades with 10 are phenomenal. Mt two favorites are the calender, which shows photos, with previews by date, and the pop-up mouse over. You can keep your thumbnails small to fit lots on the page, but as you scroll through and you see what you like, you mouse over and a larger image pops up.
The videos in Heidi's post are much better at explaining this than me, so go check them out!

Maikku,
I know how you feel I recently got the version 9 in July 2007. I noticed all the various programs are upgrading to newer versions. They usually do, however, I think they are doing this because of the new Windows Vista operating system coming into effect and especially if one buys a new computer Windows Vista comes with it unless you specify you don't want it. What I have been reading a lot of people do not like Windows Vista and older programs won't work with Windows Vista.
I am not upgrading to ACDSee 10, I can't be affording to upgrade all the time. I have more than one program and it really adds up.
You have to do what is best for you.
