Change cursor for erase tool

When I select the erase tool it is a plus sign and I can't tell how big the circle is. I went to prefrences but it didn't change can someone please help!

turn off your caps lock key

You can also check your tool settings, there is 'standard' and there is 'precise'.

Sound like you have your tool settings on precise as PP said. If your using PS go to edit>preferences>displays and cursors that should help if its not the caps lock key like Emma said.
