Organization of Pics and Elements

Hi all I am Becky from Texas. I have been lurking for awhile and been a little intemidated to jump in and begin my first layout. Well I am going to jump in with both feet. I have started scanning my pictures and collecting elements and such. I want to how you keep track of what you have and how you organize it. I have photo album 5, but am just learning it. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

This month we are focusing on backing everything up to CD's so we don't lose it all!

I spent a lot of time in the Scrapper's Challenge thread yest. looking for the post about organizing your elements, but couldn't find it. Could you post a link for that post? (I found the one on backing up and organizing fonts.)
