And I thought I was excited to find out that I could view fonts-- this is about 10000000000000000 times better LOL!

I came across this thread just now. Now you don't have to wait for an updated ABR viewer! I found this wonderful software and posted the following in the Tools forum and SNL. You might be interested in this:

You know how you collect free or purchased brushes, shapes, patterns and color swatches until you have so many you can't find anything? I know I do!
Now we have a solution!! A new software has been produced to allow you to view and create custom sets of these presets. It's called Preset Viewer!
I was so excited to share this with you that I emailed them to ask permission. I've been given the honor of promoting it via my blog. I just know you guys will love it!
If you're interested go to my blog at http://hooziegdsc.blogspot.com/
At the top of my sidebar is a button that takes you directly to the item in the store. You will have to register to purchase it, but it's totally worth it. You can opt out of any newsletters if you want.
Below that is their little blurb on it and you'll see a screen shot of the brushes view. You can view your shapes and brushes against any color background and change the brush/shape color. Patterns (brushes and shapes too) can be tiled to 4, 8, and 16 tiles across to preview a patterned paper. You can also make your own custom sets. All of your color swatches are there, to view and to choose your brush, shape, pattern and background colors from.
Preset Viewer automatically finds your presets folder in PS or PSE and you just sit back and watch. It doesn't take long and all your presets are there in one nice neat package. You can further organize them by giving them keywords and making your own customized sets.
If you want to purchase Preset Viewer, just click on the button described above. I know you will love it!
If you have any questions at all, just send me a PM or email and I'll be happy to answer them for you.
Enjoy!

Does Preset Viewer categorize and sort the way ACDSee does? I have to say the more I work with ACDSee the more I love those facilities and would not like to find I could only view anything?

Since I haven't used ACDSee, I don't know how it sorts and organizes files, so I can't compare. In Preset Viewer, you can apply keywords to your brushes and they are put in a folder structure according to those words. Hope this helps.

I have read that the Preset Viewer will be coming out with a Mac version sometime next year. This is fantastic news for me since I use a Mac. ;-) I'm psyched since choosing presets has always been a huge time sink for me.

Here's a unique gift idea (for yourself). Preset Viewer has a new version of its software to independently view and organize ALL of your presets. Especially, when you're a collector of brushes, styles, patterns, color swatches, etc., like me! It's very easy to use and very easy on the pocket book for the next Day and a half- Sheesh! They don't give you much time! The regular price is $37, so you'll save $12!
They've enhanced the features tremendously in this version and the graphics are much better than before! I don't have my Version 2, but they showed me some screen shots and it looks awesome!
I've had this software almost since it first came out and I love it! [See my previous posts in this thread when Version 1 first came out.] I keep downloading brushes and other stuff that I find (usually for free) and all I have to do is take a little time to categorize it like I would my digi kits. I don't always use these things, but if I ever did they would be easier to find!

If you already own Version 1, they will sent you an email for a free upgrade.
If you are interested you can purchase Preset Viewer through my blog either during or after the sale at www.hooziegdsc.blogspot.com

I'm so glad you like it! Do you have your Version 2 yet? I haven't gotten my email yet for the upgrade! :( I guess they are pretty busy getting all the requests sorted through!
