I hope a few will share their ideas about making calenders. I have traditionally made photo calenders for family members using Shutterfly - Where they have the backgrounds and I just slip in my photos. But, in the past year, I've discovered digi scrapping, and would like to create my own calenders for the grandparents.

This is where I would like some suggestions. I would like to design both the tops and bottoms (i.e. the calender boxes) so that they coordinate (rather than having a colorful top with a white bottom half date area. I've find older threads that briefly discuss calendars, but can anyone give ideas of where or how to get such a calendar printed? Any 2008 templates out there? Thanks!

Check out the Calendar Challenge - lots of good ideas in there, and the challenge is still going on, so feel free to jump in!

I saw the Calender challenge during my search, but I was looking to make the more traditional calender with a top page of photos and a bottom page with boxes that you write stuff in - like Shutterfly's, but more personalized. The calender grids would be helpful, but I don't have a clue about printing or where to get somelike that bound ... Any more suggestions?

Most large office supply places will bind stuff for you. Office Depot, Staples, Kinkos etc. Use a page of your choice on one side and a calendar grind on the other bind them together and boom you've got a traditional calendar. The office store will help you organize your pages in the correct order and choose the right paper so there is no shadowing or bleed between your pages.

This involves double sided printing and maybe a heavier weight paper so it may cost more.

Have you checked out the 2008 calendar products (http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=2_169_40) in the DSP store.

There are lots of different ones there. I'm using the Month of Memories QC to create my calendar and just plan to print it on thin card and then take it to a shop to get it spiral bound.

I had some bound at Office Depot and they were very reasonable. I think they were about $3.00 a piece including plastic cover. That is just for the binding. I printed them at home on matte photo paper.
