I had an all in one HP but it up and died on my a few weeks ago. My FIL gave us an old photo printer but I am really missing my scanner and copier. So I was thinking about buying a scanner but would like one that can do negatives since I have a lot of negatives from when my son was a baby and my wedding photos. Any recommendations on a good scanner that does negatives and slides? I'm in Canada but was planning on making a trip to the states next month and could possible pick one up on my trip. Thanks in advance. :D

Check out some of the newer Epson models, they do a lovely job.

Yep, I agree, the Espons do wonderfully well! The Nikon Coolscans are also fabulous, but not as versitle as the Espons. I have the Epson 4990 and the Coolscan V

I've got an Epson and used it to scan all my mom's old slides and some negatives, too. I love it!
