Hi All,
I have been surfing clipart for years and have never seen the beautiful designs on this site! I'm so impressed! I've been looking for old fashioned black picture corners, white edges for pictures with a kind of scalloped edge (do you remember the old pictures like that, Kodak maybe?!!) I also need a kind of faded linen black paper, old skeleton keys, coins, lace, etc. I have this great idea in my head, but I have no idea how to create these things on my puter. I've been surfing for these pictures for quite a while and haven't found them please help me! I want to do this for a Christmas present. I can't pay for this (live on fixed income, DH just broke his neck last month, and son just informed us he is going to Afghanistan [ID Ntnl Gaurd]in January:cry: , he was in Iraq in '04). You will have my undying gratitude if you can help!!!!! Thanx for all your help! God Bless!!!!

I've been looking in the freebies, just found a skeleton key. The 2 things I need most are the faded black linen paper and the black picture corners and haven't seen anything like them. My Grandmother had an old (1920's era) photo album and I would like to recreate the look.

You can re-color any picture corners that you have.

I wish I had some corners! I don't have any. I just found digital scrapbooking a couple of days ago, Up until then I surfed clip art sites for pictures and never found any corners at all.

This freebie (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=134363&cat=739) by Beth Nixon has some black photo corners with a touch of white or silver (depending on how you look at it). You could recolor them to being solid black.

There is also an antiquing pack by lauren: http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=142523
That has a linen overlay in it and makes any background look beautiful. I have tried it over tons of colors and I just love it! Hope that helps.

Those corners are exactly what I was looking for and I think if I color the lighter part just right it might look like it is textured. Those overlays look pretty good too! Only problem now is I need some help figuring out how to make a black page. I've never tried it before. Do I just get a page up and use the fill button and just dump black paint on the page? The deckle edge mats look like they will work for the white edges around the pictures perfectly as well. I am usually a very creative person, but with the things happening in my family lately the muse must have gone on vacation. Your ideas and knowledge of this site have helped make up for my missing muse! Thanx a bunch!!! Since you all are doing so well do you have any ideas on the coins and lace?

I don't know if there are any coins but there are tons of buttons.

On the other part of your question... what program do you use?
