I was wondering about the new 3 ring binder in the DSP store. Is it just rings, or is there an actual notebook they connect to? Jackie
Hey Jackie, They are acrylic front and back (which you can decorate) and you make your pages and bind them with the three rings. :) Hope that helps. ... They are really cool when you decorate the acrylic! :)

Do they come with page protectors? will you be selling protectors? Can a page be attached to the acrylic? How many pages will fit in these?

You can attach a page to the acrylic using double sided tape or other adhesive - these are all the rage in paper scrapbooking - do a search and see what people are doing with them -
If I had tiem I would make one up myself and post a sample here but Im really pushed for time before Christmas and I just know Im going to run out of time - however if I do get one done I will post a sample

These just look SOOOO cool, and seem to be THE answer for me on what to do for my in-law's 50th which is rapidly approaching! Time to get that project started!

Since I want one soooo bad ..... but no time nor money at the moment -
But if you want a cool sample to look at check out Ali Edwards Holiday one (http://aliedwards.typepad.com/_a_/2007/12/december-dail-9.html). She has one page posted per day so look through several posts.
What you get is a very thick acrylic cover (back and front) that can be decorated or not and the three ring binders. Then you decide what to put in it ... examples from Ali are envelopes, different sized pages, transparencies, paper, etc.
Hope that helps?
I have wanted to do one since I saw hers in progress ...

oh, and to the 'store' fairy - what about getting 4x6 or even 6x6 sized? don't know if they are available or not?
And for those wondering, the prices here at DSP are the cheapest I have seen!!!!

You know I was thinking for the hybrid scrappers amongst us - these would be perfect for using up some of your paper supplies - ribbons and stamps and such - ooooooooooh and for us geeks - printing your layout in inkjet transparency and using that for bits of it might be pretty cool too
Thank you for posting that link ScrapMel!! that is great inspiration!!!

Found this when searching. Really neat to be able to use all that ribbon I accumulated in 8 years of paper scrapping.

Does anyone know where IRL you can get Hambly transparencies - I found them online, but I would like to feel them before hand ... (in case you don't know what they are, they are transparencies, but a lot thicker than the regular kind so they can be a stand up page by themselves.)
I really really really want to make an acrylic album! I just have had no time nor inspiration to do anything but browse the net lately though!!! And of course that little thing called 'work' keeps getting in the way! Oh and Christmas preps ... lol!

LOL, I know what you mean Margie! I fall in love with a technique/style - buy all the stuff - and it sits there. One of the many reasons I went digital in the first place - I could buy something and without moving, use it! Immediately! And no mess is a plus ....

I like Margie's idea (but of course you have to have the fancy epson printer for that!) The collage style ones are really beautiful. If anyone happens to do one before the Las Vegas convention, will you please bring it to share (show off!)? Thanks!
