Welcome to the SCRAPPIN' WITH LISA forum.
What is SCRAPPIN' WITH LISA?
well....

Each week on Thursday we will meet in the CHAT ROOM at 8pm Eastern US time.

Why?
To learn skills of course.
Each week there will be a different topic to teach you a new skill, or refine a skill you already have.

I hope to see you there!!!

I'm adding this to my calendar! Perfect time--I'm about 5 minutes from work, so I'll just have to leave a little early on Thursdays!

I don't know if this should be posted here but here's one I did with DIY papers Set 2 and DIY Bogo Christmas Set. I could sure use some ccs on this. I viewed the terrific tut but I use PSE4 on a Mac so it's quite a bit different. I'll be playing a lot more with these!! http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=230673

Well, I got booted out mid-chat--every window I had open shut down as I got an error message telling me that Windows Virtual Memory Minimum was too low...so off to do research and make sure I don't have a serious problem. Don't think I do, but better to check than to be sorry. I enjoyed the chat, though, and look forward to trying out the ribbon!

Hey Lisa! Just wanted to let you know I've been practicing my keyboard shortcuts!!
Love them! I even discovered you can duplicate a layer by holding down alt and dragging the layer you want to duplicate! :D:D:D Way too cool and easy!

Lisa, I can only get the tutorial for Jan 3 when i click on the tutorials link on your website. Did I need to be at the chat to access the masks one? I wasnt able to actually be at the chat even though I had logged in...grandkids on school hols and their Mum at work today. I would really love to see the masks one!

Edit (2 hours later): disregard this post, I can now see the one for Jan10..the page is opening now. Thanks Lisa!

Wow, the interactive tutorial is terrific Lisa!!! In the previous video tuts, your voice was way ahead of the visual on my machine but this way is great!!! Thank you!

Lisa Carter

thank you for the compliments...
Sorry about my voice being ahead on the other ones...not sure why that is but
i am working very hard on learning this software that i use...now mind you it is a MAJOR software and boy is it scarry...LOL
I start my class for it at the college soon so i should be able to create some really FANTASTIC ones soon...I hope
I think my class ends near the end of march so April i should be doing even better tutorials...(I hope) LOL

I am so NOT tech savvy! I saw the tutorial for using the Quick Click Script on your blog. My question is, where does the script go on the computer in order to run properly? Somewhere in PSE6?

Thanks in advance,

Lisa Carter
02-09-2008, 11:03 AM
you can put it anywhere on your computer.
If you have a folder for your Quick Clicks (a folder where you put all your QC's) then just put it in there so you know where it is

sunhappy

Very cool!! Thanks so much--what a timesaver this will be. Someone, in a chat I attended, suggested creating a composite for each QC and then just loading that instead of loading and stacking the individual pieces. I did that a couple of times but forgot to do a 'save as' before I worked on the composite so ended up overwriting it (lol). This will be so much easier.

Hi Wanda - I too love Lisa's script. Every QC I buy, the first thing i do after unzipping it, is to run Lisa's script then save the "template". It really is a time saver when I'd like to scrap some but don't have a lot of time. THANKS LISA!!!! -c-

Does her script work in Elements? I thought it was only for Photoshop....duh! I'm such a ditz!

carlalee
02-09-2008, 12:23 PM
Not positive but, I think it only works in PSE 6 and CS and up. It'll work in your CS3 when it shows up. ;) -c-

Oh Lisa!!! I really really am bummed at missing your chats! I have been returning home on Thursdays and I am nowhere near any kind of internet access. Is there any way I can access these past tutorials? It sounds like I really missed out on something good with the Masks tutorial!!!

Lisa,

I don't know where to put this or whether you even want us to upload our attempts.
My dots don't seem to be the same size!!!! Guess I'll go back and try again and see what's up.
