I found some images that were shot using this lens! :yahoo: Go here (http://www.amazon.com/Canon-50mm-1-8-Camera-Lens/dp/B00007E7JU/ref=cm_lmf_tit_11_rsrssi0)(Amazon) and below the photo of the lens you should see a little clickable line that says, "See all 291 customer images". A lot of the photos are simply amazing and most of the images contain information underneath on how the photo was taken(camera settings). This lens will definitely be my next purchase, probably followed by the 70-300mm lens. :D

Gee, Melissa, thanks for dangling this carrot in front of me! I've been drooling over it ever since you posted this, and now I just ordered it from B&H Photo. I can't wait for it to arrive!

Does anyone know what the difference is between the 1.8 and the 1.4???

Well, other than having a wider maximum aperture, the image quality is a bit better with the 1.4 (although it's going to be a bit soft at those wide f-stops), it has USM and it has much smoother bokeh. The question is always whether these are worth the extra cost for the average user.

Melissa, thanks for telling me. I'll have to check it out. I have the 70-300 and I love it! I definitely need a few more lenses.

I have the 50mm 1.8 and got it for just over sixty dollars at b&h and LOVE it!!!!!! Also, the 70-300 which is also a great lens, they were inexpensive and take awesome pictures!! For the price couldn't ask for more with the money I paid.
Here's a link for those overly concerned about Bokeh and the quality of the 1.8... For me, sixty seven dollars- was almost just too cheap to pass up and it takes incredible pics.
