I'm using Photoshop 7 and I can't figure out where the history went? I created my layout and when I went back into it later it's gone! Even when I try to create a new layout, it doesn't show each layer in the history box. Did I somehow delete it? How do I get it back?

The history box wont show each layer - but more like a snapshot of where you are up to. - You can alter the number of history states available to you in the preferences - but if you save and close an image you will lose the history unless you create a snapshot ( in the history palette select new snapshot) - this will create a history state which will stay until you choose to delete it . Or are you talking about the actual history palette that you cant find - if you cant see it on your screen - go window - history- and it will appear for you!!

Yea, I'm talking about the history/action/tools palette. When I went back into my file, the boxes are there, but they don't show each layer I was working on. I'm trying to find all the layers. I'm not sure what I did, but it's always been there before so I can modify each layer, but now the layers are gone. Do you know how to get the layers back?

Thank You for your help! :O)

To find any palette, go to Window menu and click the name of it. So to see the undo History, click History. To see the Layers Palette, click Window>Layers

is that what you're looking for?
