Featured Designer Challenge - Tina Chambers - 1st January to 31 January 2008

Hey girls this month we do our LO's using Tina's Stuff. Wow this is gonna be a bumper month for points I predict.


This challenge uses, exclusively, items from the Designer of the Month featured in the DSP Monthly Newsletter. The products used can be purchased or from the freebie gallery, but everything used on your layout must be from the featured designer. (No items from pre-designer days, such as SNL kits, etc.)

You earn a posting bonus for doing 5 layouts and another one for doing 10 layouts. Posting Bonuses to be announced. In addition, there is a random draw for a free page kit at the end of the month.

Deadline for submission of layouts: January 31st, 2008 at Midnight EST (DSP Time) Draw will be held on February 1st, 2008: and be posted in this forum.

Winner of most points gets a DSP Gift Cert for one page kit. There will be a random draw from remainder of posters for another kit. There will be a posting bonus for anyone posting 5 or more and another posting bonus for submitting 10 or more layouts.

Oh...so the points are totaled for all the different kits and things you use on one page (I would go broke attempting this!) like Mars did...loved the LO BTW.

I had a very rough holiday season this year. Coming back from England, I was very ill and had a tough time recovering. I have done almost 2 layouts a day for a year, but didn't complete hardly one during December. I also had a rough time with the holidays and a little case of low spirits. Cathie, too, had a lot going on in her life, and still does.

I am back on form though and promise faithfully that one or the other of us will be normal from now on :):):).

IN the meantime, how cool is having TINA be our featured designer. I'd be willing to bet Mars can't get a single layout done with one thing from every one of her kits !!

Jennifer the rules for what you can use apply to all the entries even if you are just doing them for the posting bonuses. Usually they allow other designer's quick clicks and wordart if the featured designer has less than 5, however Tina has a ton of them!

I am trying to participate in this challenge for the first time. I love Tina's kits. I am sorry the rules were not more plainly described earlier in this tread. I have enjoyed putting Tina's kits in Cynthia's QC bonues from the Quickie a day Challenge. However I will still continue to post those LOs here as I love Tina's kits and want to show off her stuff and to thanks Mars and Cynthia for their work. This is a month long challenge so I hope I can by then have enough "correct" LOs to earn the bonuses.

Ok Ive done this challenge a few times so I will answer until one of our leaders comes along. The answer is YES. As long as the all the elements on your layout are by the featured DSP designer it is ok. That includes freebies, posting bonuses, cds and club digital. you may use any font since Tina doesn't have them.

OK this is the last post from me tonight, I think I'm caught up with answers to all questions - If I missed anyone, please please please PM me.

I've commented on all LO's that have been posted so far, except for those where the links are broken. I've notified all those with broken links, and I'd really appreciate it if you can PM me once you've fixed the links so that I can go look and comment. otherwise you may get missed. Sorry the thread is such a mess this month.

Victoria ; MarsOlson ; caraffle ; dagwood ; have qualified for the first posting bonus and they have been sent out this evening.

If you think that you have 5 qualifying LO's please PM me. I know some of you have posted 5 or more LO's but as some members have used stuff on their LO's that has not been created by Tina they therefore don't qualify, I'm so sorry about this rule. Lynnie has been very ill and so I've copied the rules from last month and posted them in the first post of this thread. Please read them carefully.

IMPORTANT CHANGE
So that you don't get missed or wait too long for your prize, please PM me when you have completed 5+ or 10+ LO's asking for the PB. It will be a tremendous help for me during this really really difficult time in my personal life.

CLICK CLICK CLICK - I now know why I couldn't see ALL of the threads - I really LOOKED at the page all over to see if there was anything that could be changed and I found it - somehow the options had been set to showing threads from the last 75 days ONLY! When I changed it to 'from the beginning' voila there they ALL were.

So I'm not losing it after all - am I? :confused:

Featured Designer Challenge by Cathie and Formby (the Luvaducks)

If you are counting points for the Most Of Challenge:

Everything must be from designer of month (Freebies okay, no pre-designer kits)
5 points for FIRST time you use any product (Page Kit, AOP, Plopper, Plopper Plus, Quick Click, Alpha, Word Art, Overlays or Groupie
1 point will be earned for subsequent times a product is used.
1 extra point will be earned for any of the designers kits purchased this month
Double points for items from bonus kit (10 points for first time use, 2 points for subsequent use).
5 points for each featured designer chat attended
5 extra points for each featured designer challenge completed
Count a product only once for each layout, even if you use multiple items.
No products from other designers with the exception of Word Art and Calendar Stamps. Quick Clicks will be allowed from other designers, if featured designer has fewer than 5 quick clicks in the store. Don't count points for Word Art and Quick Clicks if not from featured designer.
You must post a link in Featured Designer thread, you do not have to post layout in gallery.
All layouts must be properly credits with link to store for products used.
