I know there have been a number of threads on this, but apparently I'm having a series of brain farts and simply cannot find them!
Can anyone point me to a tutorial or thread(s) about removing the dates from old photos that have been scanned in?

I just clone them out, it is painstaking but I only had a couple with it on that someone gave me. I never put date stamps on my film photos in the past. I found that the stamp went on places it wasnt wanted, some of my friends photos had the stamp on faces, not a good look!
As far as I know, if the date is on an important part of the photo, the only way to get rid of it is to crop the photo, so it's outside the crop, or clone it out. Dates are a pain in the neck :)
Yep, if you zoom way in and use a tiny clone brush, you clone it all out. It's harder if the date has a varied background. If it's all grass or carpet, it's fast. If it's on someone's hand, then you're in for a longer job of it.
Another option to cloning or cropping is to scrap it with an embellishment covering up that corner! Especially good for difficult or poorly-cloned dates!

Thanks ^_^ Should be easy enough then. Luckily there aren't a lot of them.
I've got a whole box of photos taken in the mid-80's. When I finally get around to scanning them.... :o
