Oh, for crying out loud - I am just learning PSCS and struggling with that! :D I hate learning a program only to have it become obsolete - PSCS won't become obsolete, will it??

Photoshop CS won't become obsolete for quite some time... as you can tell by the threads and message boards there are people who still use PS version 5, 6, and 7.

If they are coming out with a new version, it will just offer some newer "exciting" features...but your current version will still work fine for a long time to come.

Angie, I love your water cooler comment!!!!

Andrea - No PS CS will be wonderful for years! Maybe your whole life! But PS CS has some features that PS 7 does not have. I have PS 7 and I had planned to upgrade when they came out with the next version after CS so I am very excited. I have another person in my home with a need for PS and I plan to put my PS 7 on that person's computer and buy the new version for myself.

So that is why I'm very excited! I've been waiting!!!!

PS is a learning curve but I sure love what I can do with it!!!

another person in my home with a need for PS and I plan to put my PS 7 on that person's computer and buy the new version for myself.MEK, I very carefully read the licensing agreement with my Adobe stuff, and it very clearly states that the software can be installed on multiplie machines at home like desktops or laptops, or run on a network of less than 3 computers. Now, it was unclear if that meant Troy could use it at the same time I was using it, or if there had to be a single user. But from what I could tell, there was an automatic home user provision that made it just fine for family members to share the software installed on more than one machine. You may want to check and see, 'cause I know your family would be happy to all have the newest stuff!
hope some of the CS bugs were fixed!!!!! CS drives me nuts!Amanda, really?! I haven't noticed any bugs...what am I missing?
I hate learning a program only to have it become obsoleteAndy, take it from me who has written 2 classes that the same month they were completed the newer software version came out, that you'll be just fine for a long time! I'm glad I did the PSE3 class before the next PS one on my list now that I've heard this. I already need to update my PSP class to v9! So at least you don't have to deal with updating your livelihood, LOL!
Any news on the release date yet? I'd like to know so I can plan my next PS classes.

The global light just CHANGES on its own. I keep mine set at 120 and all of the sudden it will be 30. And this has happened to kim and lauren too.

I don't like that is has problems with certain filters and doesn't make CS load smoothly (I get a bunch of errors that I don't get if my filters are loaded). Such a pain!

Oh Emma, thanks so much!!! I'll definitely look into it! It would save me a fortune if I didn't have to try to equip so many within my household. I have no problem with independent adults needing there own stuff but when I have dependent minor children I think they should be able to use my stuff because they are part of me still. I hope I find similar info!!!

Filters - can't say i've found that but I'm not big on them anyway!

But so exciting to think that may be more things to play with soon........!

I called Adobe and they told me I could have it on three machines in my home. Well not always in my home because I take the lap top with me but
t hey said that would be fine. I was worried because it updates all the time and I was wondering what would hapen if i had two machines on line. If in doubt give them a call they were most helpful.

The Global light bug is a real PEST with capitals!!- drives me insane - and its not the only one either - what about the - you are working away and all of a sudden with no warning whatsoever photoshop simply disappears - all gone - pooof in a puff of smoke - minus the smoke - - its happened to me 3 times now - pfffffffffft - oooooooooh and while we are talking annoyances - did you know if you do a system restore - you have to reactivate the licence - and you can only do that automatically about twice or 3 times then you ahve to call customer support to do it manually - and they are only open 9 - 6 Mon- Fri - so if it happens to you on a friday night you are stuck till Monday - read the forums at adobe - might peeved customers there!!!!!
