Here it is...... The kickoff of week one in our BoGo-A-GoGo challenge! :) Don't forget that there is a different challenge each of the weeks of the months; all culminating in a finished 2008 Album if you just play along! You can see the rundown in this post (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=28756)

Use the featured item - Tussy Mussy Page Kit (http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=41_64&products_id=7387) - and receive the January GoGo Quick Click; the very first spread in your 2008 Album!

Here's a glimpse of the Tussy Mussy Page Kit:

Here's a glimpse of your first Quick Click posting bonus!
http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/data/744/05_T_GoGoJanuary.jpg

Remember... To be eligible for this quick click as a free item, you must post your layout using the featured item before Midnight, EST, on Sunday January 13, 2008. You can still be eligible for a drawing for a free handwriting font if you post a layout with each of the month's featured items (stay tuned for weeks 2-4 featured items in the coming weeks!) before midnight on the 1/31/08. And never fear, the quick click will be available in the store if you miss it this week! :)

OK...so we need to post a page using this kit by Sunday...is this going to be the first page of our 2008 album?

Or, is that the point of the QC? Do we get the quick click and then use it for the Jan 08 page?

Sorry...just a bit confused. I did read that link to the description...maybe I need to go read it again.

So we make a page using the Tussy Mussy Page Kit by 1/13... do we NOT journal on it since we will be journaling the next week? Or are do we then get the QC and THEN that is what we will journaling on? Ahhh... I think I have now confused myself even more! HELP!

Maybe I'm as confused as Jennifer is above!

Oh and of course... BEAUTIFUL KIT!!!

LOL, I was confused too but I assume we will figure it out! I would love having the QC first so I could create my first two pages with it .... but I think what will happen is....
Week 1 create a one page layout with kit
Week 2 journal
Week 3 and 4 use bonus QC to create the next two pages with same kit (or different one?)
But I think I skipped something .... okay I don't know.

You made me laugh out loud.... It IS confusing, in spite of the fact that I literally spent WEEKS trying to make it NOT confusing...... LOL! Shows you how my head doesn't work with details...

Yes, you need to post a page by Sunday 1/13/08, at midnight to be eligible for this Quick Click as a bonus. BUT... I'm allowing people who join us after this week's deadline to still purchase the kit, along with the other featured items from the month, to be eligible for the font drawing (they just won't get the quick click, or whatever posting bonus for which they miss the deadline, for free). Is that clear as mud? :) So, all these quick clicks, and whatever other features and posting bonuses will all be available in the store for those who might miss out on the freebies.

The page you post for whatever challenge/feature doesn't HAVE to be the first page in your album. Mine certainly wasn't... :) I'd intended the quick clicks to be the album pages - and you can decide how you want to embellish them (which kits/papers, etc). You might wait on the album pages until the end of the month, when you have pictures from the month - I think that is what I'm planning on doing. Does that make sense?

Of course I'm open to revision of this little GoGo shebang....... My selfish goal (and it's all about me, don'tcha know?) is to complete a cohesive 08 album... :)

Ooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhh, MEL!!! YESSS!!!

See, I need someone to translate my freaky head.....

That sounds like a wonderful solution!

We really WILL work it all out - you guys all know me... I'm a sucker for giving stuff away... So, I really want everyone to get tons of stuff and end up with a really cool year-end album... And maybe a handwriting font!

But it sounds like we're going to really get lots more - so we'll have layouts with featured kits from week 1, and journaling to go with that (or maybe with another layout, or whatever). And then another couple pages with the quick click... And maybe even MORE!

Anyway. Let's see how it goes this month and then take it from there - I'm really excited about this whole project!! I've been designing the quick clicks all right now so that they're really cohesive - it's going to be sooooooooooo hard to keep them a secret all year!!! :) :) :)

And can I crow a little about having left my gushes on all the items in the gallery? I am pretty sure that will never happen again, though it's one of my new year's resolutions...............

Ah, HA!!! Okay, so all the QCs are going to be similiar so they go together - I was wondering about that - cool!
And we can use any kit for the actual album (another thing I wondered about for people who like an album to match - which actually never applies to me  ... but nice to know)

If anyone wants thoughts/ideas about how to go about this ... I think I am going to plan on just the two page QC for my layouts for a month. That way when (IF) I make a book, it will be 24 pages which is a little less expensive than 52 (if I did one a week for this challenge!) Anyone else doing it differently? Please share! I haven't attempted one of this myself, so teach me!

I just love QCs! And it's so fun to take a 12 x 12 QC and strech it to be an 8 1/2 x 11... I just love doing weird things to them!

I'm the same way, the album I made last year used over 70 different kits.. What I did was just make the two pages that opened together always compliment each other interms of colors and what not, that album is all sorts of crazy! I like to make 8 1/2 by 11 pages so I can just print them out borderless at home and plop them in a book, much cheaper for a teacher's budget.

YES!! The QC's will all be cohesive - you can choose to keep the pages really similar, or shake it all up a bit....... I have no clue what I'm doing yet....... I kind of like a really matched album, but i also really find bright/different colors appealing (on different spreads). And, yes, I'm planning on doing just one two-page spread per month... With all those picture spots in the QC, it will surely accommodate a whole month on a 2page spread! :) :)

OH, you are so creative!!!!!!! How cool!!! That is a great idea! And since the QCs are really just shapes, they don't get wonky and pixel-funked when you stretch them! Fabulous!

Oh, the other thing I was meaning to mention was that I've made several kits that were very intentionally NEUTRAL-NEUTRAL-NEUTRAL... They coordinate really well, and would give you a VERY cohesive feel for an album... I'm thinking specifically about using the Just Plain Collection (http://tinyurl.com/2h3a5u).

I also really like the My Story (http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_18_162&products_id=6709) stuff, and the A Moment In Time backpack (http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_21&products_id=6737), and all of this would mix/match really well with the Just Plain White...

And that's just the NEUTRAL stuff in my stash........ I'm a little tempted to go funky, too, which could be a whole other direction. Of course........ Why not do a general 08 album (for the family), and then an album for each of the kids. Would they not LOVE that!

Okay. Rambling rambling here....... Must get to bed!

Can't wait for that QC... I think it may be great for the little pre-birthday celebration we had this weekend with my in-laws!! Hannah had cake on her face (because I kinda smeared a tad on her) and then she got me... LOL!

Hopefully Suz hasn't read this yet... I was looking all around at DSP and saw something about you... so I had to just say... GO IU... LOL... sorry... my DH is Indiana Alum! LOL!

Hey, Kim, I can't remember if I answered this.... LOVED your layout!!! :) I can't remember whether it was in the GoGo gallery or not, but that's a helpful thing for me - to be able to find them fast. The GoGo gallery is here: BoGo-A-GoGo (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=5422)

There's a description on making sure you get your layout to the right gallery in the tutorial section (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/university/tutorials/general_uploadGallery_ep/general_uploadGallery_ep.shtml). Only, instead of "member gallery" , you will pull the dropdown menu down and scroll down to find the "BoGo-A-GoGo Gallery". Believe me, I know how totally overwhelming this place is when you're first starting to navigate. I STILL have to ask... "Where's the (whatever) gallery!?" So.... Any problems, don't hesitate to holler! :)

Good question. I think most people are doing kind of an "extra" layout with this one. So their "real" layout for the album will be with the QC, and will be journaled probably next week...... This is just soooooooo in the infancy, and it's fun to try to figure out what works best, eh?! :)

You are part of my life changing events. LOL!

The first page of my album features my New Year's Resolutions - things that I hope will change my life (and the lives of my family) for the better.

Every year I make a list of Resolutions and by Valentine's Day I've forgotten about them. THIS year (with your help) I'm going to scrap the things I'm doing to KEEP those resolutions (which mostly center around getting organized).

Hopefully, you'll be seeing pages in the coming months of my "systems" I've put in place to help my family get and stay organized, pictures of my dining room once it's painted and redecorated - AND my kitchen!, and some other things that I hope to do to make everyone who lives in this house happier. :D I'm calling it my Accountability Album.

I can't wait to get started! AND I hope I figure out how this will work (I have a pretty good idea already) as we go along. : )

I ADORE this kit! It is so ME! :yahoo:

Oh, I guess I'd better give you the link to my page and shut up. Here's to An Extraordinary Life (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=234519).

I am a newbie so I am a little confused by this process....but I love the kits and the idea of completing an entire album for the year.

The word art is from the "freebie" gallery and is by Jenna Robertson.

Nope... I have 2 kits and mucho stuff that I'm just sitting on, waiting for challenges/bonuses... So, the backpack is fair game in the store! I really, really like it........ lol!

I am TOTALLY loving the Tussy Mussy kit and am just about to go scrap with it, but while I was sitting here "musing" about what to do I had a thought...

I know that you are totally in the infant stages of this challenge and I thought you might like to consider this idea. Since our goal is a cohesive album at the end of the year, with the intent of using your 2-page QC's, I thought maybe for the first week of the month we could use the QC for the 'required use' piece and then a page kit or whatever you feel is appropriate for the bonus.:o

Totally random idea that just popped itno my head! Take it for what it's worth...:p

OKay so here's my LO! It took on it's own life and turned out totally not the way I envisioned it at first, but I love it anyway!!(that sounds like a qoute for my kids, lol)

I will add the journalling in week 2 when I get the font... because thats what I'm guessing I was supposed to do?!?

Looking forward to the quick click, I might do a recap of 2007 with it ~ a favourite photo from each month :)

Thought I had better start with a 2008 cover (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=234977) for this album.

Thanks Suz.

OK, I did it! Here's my L/O using Tussy Mussy: Meeting for Coffee (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=234984).
I used that overlay 4 different times/ways, just experimenting. I kind of like the look. Made my own circle word art, too - 'meeting for coffee'. I just switched over to PSE 6 and had to install all of my brushes & styles, too!

Thanks for looking!
