What? No, its not some foreign Departement store...

Ok, fine, I'll say it slower.. Design a Kit... Win a kit!

I must have the January Blues- I have ZERO inspiration!!!

Here's how we play...

1st Post a color swatch for a kit... if chosen, you win the finished kit.

Then I will pick a random winner from those who post element suggestions.

Third, I will pick a winner from name suggestions!

You may want to hold off on element suggestions until I choose a color scheme, and you'll want to wait til after I post a preview to post name suggestions.

I'm only giving one day for color swatches. Colors will be chosen by midnight 1/15/08. Then element suggestions will be due by 1/16/08. Name will be chosen by 1/17/08!

Should be fun! Help me out of my funk and win! :yahoo:

Went a bit mad and created five from some inspiring posters. They're all in the Freebs gallery.

How are you doing those?

I opened the picture in PSE and used the eyedropper to choose the colors, then filled in a rectangle with the colors. When you've chosen the color with the eyedropper and you click on the color in the color picker box thingy, it displays the # that will reproduce that color in (I guess) another photoshop program.

Hope this helps,
Susan

But where do you get the colors from? Do you use them from other things you have or is there a way to get the color palette to come up?

I use my eyedropper tool to choose colors, then fill a rectangle on my swatchstrip page with that color. If you look in the eyedropper color box that comes up, you will see that it lists a code for the color you have selected. The code is noted as Red/Green/Blue (amounts of each) or as a number/letter combination.

You can open your eyedropper tool and just randomly choose colors you like, or use a photo or card (as Honeymoon did) as inspiration for your color selections.

Yes, we're definitely ready for SPRING!
