Christmas. Birthdays. Sports games. Parades. These are all events where we take dozens (sometimes hundreds) of photos. Yet often it is very difficult to scrap these photos. :help: I know that I struggle with yet another birthday/Christmas page, perhaps because I feel almost obliged to make one, rather than feeling like I WANT to. These are some ways that I have found helpful in approaching these pages.

1. Use pre-made page elements like overlays, grids, photo clusters and groupies to help you arrange your photos. And don't forget ploppers – it isn't cheating to use a pre-made page.

2. If it is hard fitting everything on one page, try using two. If you need some help in making a two page spread, try using a sketch or one of the cool two page Quick Clicks in the DSP store.

3. Just because you took 100 photos, doesn't mean that you need to put them all in a layout. Pick the photo you like the best and make a layout using that. Other photos can always go into a normal photo album if you want to keep them (or you can make different layout using them)

4. Can't think what to say? Just type some bullet point journaling covering the main points. Remember, you can fancy it up by using embellishments like brads or flowers instead of typed bullet points.

5. Start with your journaling. Write the story of the event that you want to tell, then select the photo(s) that best illustrate it.

6. Is your event too much even for a two page spread? Consider making a mini album instead. The DSP store has many instant albums to make this easy or you could create your own.

Most importantly, remember scrapping is a hobby, not a job (for most of us anyway). Have fun!

Great advice Sharon, sometimes looking at a whole stack of photos for one event is so overwhelming its hard to know where to start!
