question about ram

Hi...I took my computer in to be checked out and the tech guy said that if I upgrade to 1 gig of ram that my photoshop elements would run much faster. I have a 128 chip and a 256 chip in there now. Do you think it's worth it??? Help please...I don't know a lot about this stuff but I would love for elements to run faster on my computer! Thanks!

I was at 512mb (I think) and upgraded to 1GB and my PSE ran WAY better but I will say this - I'm ready to upgrade again! So if you can afford it and your PC can take it, I'd suggesting looking to upgrade more than 1GB, maybe even 2GB.

Gosh, while he has it in the shop, upgade to more ram than that! The labor will be the same ... go for the long haul here.

2 gigs of ram are awesome. :) 3 are better - more than that, you're in Vista land....
