Bogo Challenge - Out of Bounds!

This challenge may stretch your creativity, although it's not a requirement to follow the suggestion I will pose - you will still get the bonus by posting any layout with the featured product. So here we go:

Featured Product is Ups & Downs and Out of Bounds Two Page Quick Click (http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=7434) . The term "out of bounds" we use to refer to layouts that showcase photos that pop out of their frames or off the page. You will see that this quick click has some rather unorthodox shadows on it, already done for you, which will help you along in your out of bounds challenge. You may take this a step further if you choose, and, with a little extraction, make your subject matter come right out of the frame and off the page! These layouts really stand out in the gallery and are some of the most fun art we play at here at DSP. If you haven't participated in a previous Out of Bounds challenge then I hope you play along this time! For inspiration, check out the Out of Bounds Gallery (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=4408). So, in a nutshell, post a layout using Ups & Downs quick click (http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=7434) (you don't have to use both sides if you don't want to) and link it in this thread to get the posting bonus, seen here (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=235934)! The posting bonus would be another fun one to play at out of bounds with, too.

Deadline is January 31 to get the posting bonus.

You may combine this with other challenges of course, and if you put it in another gallery that is fine, so long as you remember to link back to this thread so I know to send you the bonus!

Oh Z i wasn't taking much notice of which croc i was taking pics of...but they were out the back of the crocoseum...some of the stars of the show so could have been acco or agro..i was high up on the crocoseum and took their pics from there wallowing in their nice clean ponds waiting for the next show..yeah carolyn if you ever have a chance to visit Australia Zoo it is one of the best zoos i have ever been too....very clean and well thought out...very impressive!!!...now that i have finished work i might be able to play a bit...and Z can you tell which is which? of the crocs i mean...i can't they are all rather big...the smaller ones are kept in ponds in the center of the zoo....anyhow i have some really cool closeups of water dragons...there are always heaps at Aus Zoo..they are such characters...Cheers liz

this is an interesting challenge Z! I have always wondered how people do these type of layouts because they are so cool! I'll have to see if I have time to do this one or not...got a couple of other projects to work on right now :(

Well unfortunately the water dragons won out over the crocs...besides you can get up and personal with the little blighters...i just love this pic i took and i thought it would look good with this quick click and like i said they are kinda cute...soooo next time i go to Australia Zoo i will make sure i do a layout just for you Z...with the crocs aforementioned as stars....anytime you want to come visit we are just 2 and half hours away from Australia Zoo....here is lizards at large!!

Here is my LO for this challenge. This was the first time I had used a QC before and it was very tricky. Eventually I got it, but I know it is not perfect...but the practice is a good thing.

MaryKate, you certainly do not have to do the OOB part of the challenge, no! It's completely up to you what you like, I just usually give a suggestion of sorts, and this QC rather fell into the out of bounds category just by way of the deep shadows popping the arrows off the page. Please do what you like with it, and I look forward to seeing!

Now I know it's just January, but I already have spring fever. Does anyone else? Well Elizabeth, I thought about trying an out of bounds page with my sons Tae Kwon Do pictures but I chickened out. I may try it eventually. Instead I did a boring page of him rollerblading. I hope this qualifies for the challenge anyway.

I worked harder on this than it looks! I tried for a week to get it to work in PSE. I finally gave up and put it in Creating Keepsakes. Parts of it could not be changed in Creating Keepsakes so I left them white. I added the white flowers in hopes that they would blend with the white pieces that I couldn't change. My out of bounds picture isn't very out of bounds, I have to work on that technic more. I think another picture might have worked better for it but I didn't have one. It was a fun learning experience though!
