you can't bring it past security, but you could buy that in the airport. for a MERE $8 probably... :lol:

one thing you can do is bring an EMPTY water bottle, then fill it in the fountain after security. saves you from buying a $4 bottle of water, and i always hate their lids for some reason. :D

They took applesauce away from my grandson one year, so just as long as it cannot be conceived as even slightly liquid you should be ok!! I like the empty water bottle idea! One year I filled a couple of 3oz bottles with water incase i needed to take any medicine on the plane!!

great point! last time i went, i got stuck at a darn gate with no food or drink options!! i thought it would go past security, down a hall and to the many gates, but it was more like past security straight to the gate with nothing else there. and i went early, wasn't fun!! san jose is really small!!

there should be plenty of power and it should be convenient. as a frequent flyer tho, i never travel without mine. :)

there *should* be internet access, but as i've not verified that personally, i won't promise! and yeah, we really want to keep CIJ alive there! there may even be some fun from santa...

psst, you'll be cropping with almost 100 other scrappers with laptops (probably many with your brand or model!) and other electronics. label your cords!!! (and cds, thumb drives, cameras, ehd's, etc)
just thought i'd throw another thing to add to your lists. :D

Great heads up Margie, I started labeling all of our power & charger cords years ago, so much easier to find what it goes to.

I'm a frequent flyer, but I don't carry a power strip, but can throw one in the suitcase anyway.

And I do want to check in on CIJ occasionally.

Well, we've had a bit of a change in plans. Shawn wants to conserve his strength for maybe going to Garlic Festival. He's still in the wheelchair and is only able to stand for about a minute, so doing both Adobe and garlic fest would be too much. So as a typical man he's opting for the food!! Can his badge be transferred to someone else?

I don't know anything about San Jose Airport but we flew via Southwest from Bradley in CT with a thermal bag of kielbasa(for my polish relatives in San Diego)...went thru security ok. Only asked if we had any liquids. Empty water bottles had to be out of carry on so they could xray them clearly.

Need to label my cords etc. Didn't get to make ATC cards ...just had too much to do but DH made me a name tag. Finished up and brought some of the books I've made with the machine DSP has in the store.

Can't wait to meet everyone on Sat. We'll be in San Jose on Thurs afternoon. Meeting Carti at 5 in the hotel lobby. Anybody else is welcome ...just wear your name tag. For those coming in later maybe we could meet later....any suggestions welcome

I've got my cards made! I had to borrow my husband's larger computer bag to fit all of my "equipment". I don't want to check any of the important stuff! You were pretty much right on about the traffic to the Garlic Festival. We left the hotel around 10:45 and came to a stop about a mile from the 101 exit for Gilroy. We were parked and on the shuttle bus at 12:00, so it wasn't too bad. The festival was very hot weather wise and so was the food. We did enjoy going:). Hope to see many of you again, maybe Adobe can do this again:tup:

I ran into the Gilroy traffic also going down the highway 101. It was my route home and I had to go through Gilroy but not at the same exits for the festival. Trouble is they had one exit on the north end and one at the south end! My exit was in between, so when I got past the first one I thought "oh good!" then it slowed down again right away! I could sure smell the garlic driving through town though!! It was so nice to meet you and SUV gal!

My many questions were answered quickly and new methods were explained in detail. (Next time I'll write them down so I can remember all of them:doh:)

Organizers did a bang-up job and Adobe is an excellent venue. I would love to do this again - the sooner the better. Kudos to those who worked so very hard to make this event a success.

I actually completed my very first digital layout...what a thrill. :yahoo:

P.S. I would love to know how to get a copy of the group photo taken in the crop room.:help:

I just got home and Scamp should be home by now after several wonderful days in San Francisco. Will add to Lisa's thread when I catch my breath but thank you all so much for planning this. It was absolutely wonderful and I had a blast!!

My flight got in about 12:30am and by the time I baggage and home it was almost 2. Up for work this morning, and now I'm yawning! Gonna be an early bedtime for me tonight!

It was wonderful! The weather cooperated (in San Jose, anyway!), I met new friends and visited with old ones. My only regret was that I didn't get to visit with people more.

I'll add more when I recuperate--which may not be until the weekend!

Hi everyone...As some of you knew I was flying out of Sac to Spokane on Monday after the crop...had a wonderful trip and home a couple of days now...Wow...it was a whirlwind 12 days for me, hope I can remember all I learned at the crop...I loved it and like the others hope we can do it again...great venue....loved meeting everyone...I left about 10:30 on Sunday headed north on 680 and found no congestion at all....would have loved to go to the Garlic festival though...on my "to do" list some day...one comment...several asked how I got my ATC card to line up front and back...it finally occurred to me perhaps some do not know about the Picture Package application located under Automate in Photoshop...that is what I used..Hope that helps...Bye for now...Liz

I still haven't uploaded my photos to smugmug yet. The first week back was jam packed this week wasn't much slower just the added benefit of intermittent internet. Seems comcast was ahving node problems monday/tuesday and were working on it. The only problem is we still dont have consistant internet. Sometimes I get luck like right now and can pick up a neighor's wifi on my laptop if I'm out on the deck. :D
So I'll check in as I can the tech is supposed to be out Wednesday so maybe by next weekend I can be uploaded.

There was NO Wordart by Kim...She made that for me to put on my layout right then, because I couldn't do it in PSE and I only have Photoshop on my home PC since it can only be on one computer...

I have since taken it off of my layout and that wordart is by me now!!!!!!!!!
