View Full Version : Do you have Heritage Pages in galleries other than Our Heritage Gallery?

So often we want to see pages for inspiration and they are so hard to find. This is the thread to put your links, let us all see them.
Alternatively, if you come across an inspirational page, please take a minute and link it here!

This is my own personal Heritage album at DSP (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=5110). Feel free to take a look. The kits used are mostly DSP (Meryl and Lauren mostly) and a couple are my own stuff.

There are some pictures posted of people I don't know so take a good look at those and tell me if you might, by chance, know who they are.

Thanks Meryl for starting this forum. It's a great idea.

Thank you Meryl, I have so much trouble finding Heritage Lo's in other galleries that I know this will be great for all of 'us heritage types'.

This is my personal Heritage Album, I do heritage pages for many other challenges and after the challenges are over they are forgotten. I started moving them to this album so I can find them but now I will do it so others can find them too. I can't wait to see everybodies albums and LOs.

Maybe we should all add the word "Heritage" to our keywords when we upload a layout.

Then we could just search in the gallery and find them all.

Off to edit some keywords now.

Edit.... have just started, you can even copy the space and the word " Heritage" and then paste it on each one as you edit.

Well, this is all very new to me... hope I've done right putting these in the Heritage gallery. When I get up to speed I might even think of doing one of the challenges!

I've just started with some pages that I hope will eventually form an album of my brother's life... then I'd like to get it printed out as a gift for my parents, hopefully by Christmas this year!!!

I know I have made some layouts that would qualify for this. However, I don't have time to go and look and post. I am planning a trip to Chicago for one grandson's graduation next week and was glad I got one done at least for this Wednesdays Heritage. I don't think I can make the chat tho.

I have a double page layout that I have completed for the latest 'Freestyle Fandango' challenge. I had bought Meryl's lovely Roses & Lavender page kit with the intention of using it in a slightly more 'traditional' layout. However this challenge made me think about it in a different way & the layout is now totally different from my original idea! LOL. It just shows how versatile this kit is. This is my first heritage page so cc's would be most welcome.

This is the link to the beginnings of my mum's bio which I guess is 'heritage'. This isn't done in scrapping style as it will be a book rather than an album but I want to have a go at eventually scrapping some of the photos.

The style of the pages will be kept uniform to give it the 'book' feel.

I'm going to bump this thread to ask Meryl a question. Most of my heritage layouts are in an album in my gallery. Is there any way at all to have layouts in a personal album and also in the Heritage Gallery? Would love to leave them in heritage but it's nice to group them into one folder in my own gallery.

I wish i could say yes Omio but sadly no you can't :( That's why if you ever browse my gallery its a total muddle - layouts, product samples all sorts because they are all in some gallery or another!

Hopefully its an upgrade which will happen one day - all sorts of improvements all the time!

Omio, about a year ago, I 're-sorted' my galleries into specific folders. Once something is a month old it rarely gets looked at but just sits in VERY full Galleries. I have folder for each type of thing I scrap, ie dance, swim, each daughter and yes Heritage. Funny, ever since I did this I get comments on 2 and 3 year old LOs all the time. Somewone will use a keyword and find say a dance LO and the next thingyou know they get lost in my 300 dance pages......this has happened in all of the Albums I made too. PLEASE link your heritage gallery when you get it put together because I just love seeing them.
here is mine if you have any interest:

I'm fairly new to this heritage stuff. I have done a few layout for an album that I am creating for my boys about their ancestors. Although the photos are old, I haven't always used a heritage looking kit. Here is the link to my Album (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=6916) which only has one layout right now because the other 5 are still in my gallery for various challenges and I don't want to break my links in those threads.

Now I am off to look for heritage inspiration...thank you in advance.

Ok, I've finally started working on my heritage album again..

I have 250 +++ fairly well preserved photos handed down to me by my paternal grandmother - And, for Christmas I got a Epson scanner with Digital ice...

My last scanner just didn't do the job well enough on these old photos...

So, I've been scanning... And, organizing... (and lucky for my - my family has a historian and my grandmother did journal on most photos... saving me a ton of time...

So, For my Daddy who is just starting to lose his memory... (he's 82) - These are being done for him - as he smiles so much when he sees each page... And, so does my Aunt Helen (she's 83)....

So, here are the ones I've done on this site.... so far - These just seem to fit these kits... I'm trying to come up with like a plan to make this process go faster by using a single kit of group of kits for "eras" - such as my Grandmother's siblings, Grandma's kids, ets...

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated... --And, no I don't plan on Scrapping all 250 of the photos... they will be scanned and preserved... and some will be grouped together...

Raffie's post gives me an idea. I obviously haven't thought this through so will count on one of you to come up with a solution. :love2:

What if we each created a heritage layout that somehow pointed to our albums? We could post that one LO in Meryl's gallery and anyone who saw it and particularly liked the style could be linked to explore our personal albums. Or maybe a separate heritage gallery that points only to personal albums?

Did I explain that well enough? I'm fighting wireless problems but will help with this puzzle if you guys don't figure it out before I get back.

Meryl, if we can't find a solution and it will help you out, I don't have any problem moving my heritage LOs back to the gallery. Just say the word.
