Meryl managed to get hold of me - she is very sorry about missing her chat - but her area is experiencing an unexpected power cut (these usually last a couple of hours here in South Africa) and she was therefore unable to make her chat.

It actually turned out to be a cablr fault after all, not load shedding - went off at 4.45pm and only back today at 8.00 a.m.

I will commend them though - they worked on the fault most of the night - arrived at about 2.00 am and left obviously once it was fixed.
