I've read an interesting article recently concerning image formats & thought it explained things really clear for those of you who have the option of choosing which format to shoot in. It gives a full explaination of adv & disadvantages of each format type, really interesting!

Take a look!

Interesting, reading that the person really contradicts themself saying there is no reason to shoot RAW yet then they say they shot a house in jpg and RAW. heh :p

Rebecca, I don't think the guy was outrightly disagreeing with using RAW, he was just trying to explain that it takes a lot of time to fiddle with each image you take to correct for exposure etc afterwards. Maybe most the time he doesn't use it for this reason but he still maybe uses it on the rare occasion. Which is a fair comment! I think the way the article is written makes it seem like he's contradicting himself. But it was still interesting huh???

If you get the Nikon D70 you dont have to choose whether you shoot in jpeg or raw there is an option that allows you to shoot both at the same time.
