Featured Designer Challenge by Cathie and Formby (the Luvaducks)

Who's up for the Featured Designer Challenge for April?
The featured designer this month is Lauren Bavin.

This challenge uses, exclusively, items from the Designer of the Month featured in the DSP Monthly Newsletter. The products used can be purchased or from the freebie gallery, but everything used on your layout must be from the featured designer. (No items from pre-designer days, such as SNL kits, etc.)

You earn a posting bonus for doing 5 layouts and another one for doing 10 layouts. Please PM CathieMarie when you have completed 5 and 10 layouts to receive the posting bonus. In addition, there is a random draw for a free page kit at the end of the month. This month (Birthday Month Only!) there is a drawing for a CD also!!

We are NOT doing a most of challenge this month, we want to focus on QUALITY layouts this month and will be restructuring with some challenges that give you a chance to feature your scrapping skills. We do have a surprise to replace it, so keep a lookout :)

This is going to be such a fun fab featured challenge this month but before we get too far into the month can I just ask you all to review the rules in post #1.

There are some important changes to the challenge for this month mentioned in there.

ALSO, can I re-iterate that ALL LO's MUST be properly credited (again see post #1 for the link to a tutorial if you don't know how to). For freebies, etc please provide a link to the source, e.g. link to the newsletter if it was in there, Freebie Gallery, if it was a chat freebie then link to the forum if it's not in a gallery. It is just so helpful when other members are looking at your LO if they can go to where you acquired your materials.

Oh, and I've found it very hard last month to keep up and send out PB's on demand so this month I will be sending them out all together around half way through the month and then again at the end of the month, so if you want to get the PB's and use them during April you need to get a wriggle on for the first couple of weeks in April.

I can't find them, I've searched under 'word art bavin' but all I get is 55 of her page kits etc!! Admittedly one of them is Sentimental Swirls which could be classed as a Word Art I guess but why aren't any of the rest of them coming up?

With all the birthday chaos going on around here I don't have time to scroll through 903 products looking for them! I'll just have to make up my own I suppose - we are allowed to use Fonts that aren't Lauren's I suppose ;)

SO.... Many of you are wondering what lovely things we will be doing this month instead of the MOST OF challenge.

We mentioned some time back that there would be a CD drawing from all of the most of winners to date. For each time you have had a win, you will be entered once in the drawing for the CD Gift Cert. This is a one time drawing for Birthday month.

We also mentioned that there would be a drawing for CD from the challenge this month. This is among the BEST OF layout. I have requested that the DET, DET Alumni, Designers and Mods pm me with any outstanding layouts in the gallery. Only ones that were created during birthday month count. We will do a random drawing from these outstanding layouts for the CD Gift Cert. This is one time during birthday month.

In addition, we will have our regular drawing random drawing for a $3.99 Gift cert - and an extra one this month for $2.99.

Kiwi: :yes: yes you do have to pm her... but she isn't sending the prizes out until the end of the month. You may just want to wait until you have 10 done if you are planning on doing all 10.

Great idea Carolyn!!! Last month I was trying for most of and took a piece or two from many kits to come up with something totally original and different. It was a lot of fun to see how many I different elements I could fit in one lo and still make it look good.

Ditto for me. My computer crashed and so I was without a decent computer until last week. To make it even worse, only my jpeg files were saved on my backup CDs. I have lost all my png files which means all word art, alphas, quick clicks, etc. :cry: :cry: :cry:

SO.... Many of you are wondering what lovely things we will be doing this month instead of the MOST OF challenge.

We mentioned some time back that there would be a CD drawing from all of the most of winners to date. For each time you have had a win, you will be entered once in the drawing for the CD Gift Cert. This is a one time drawing for Birthday month.
