did you know that if you should make a mistake whilst erasing you can get it all back by holding down Alt key and going over the spot with the eraser.

NO! That's AWESOME! There's something like Erase to History too that's similar, not really into using that much, so don't know al the ins and outs of it.

Thanks, Meryl! Where do you learn these from? I actually read the keyboard shortcut list in the Help section in PS, and there are so many I get lost! And so many of them I don't even know what the function IS...and I thought I knew PS...LOL! Thanks for sharing :) Do you discover things by holding keys down, or reading somehwere...???

I had no idea!!! Thanks this is a fantastic tip. I just stink at using the eraser so I seem to always use the layers mask tool instead. But now since I know this niffty little trick, this may make me use that eraser more often.

Thanks!!

Just to clarify, is this only until you change tools? You can't go back several steps later and do this, right? Maybe that's what Erase to History is for...

I'm tryin gto use MORE layer masks, and more adjustment layers too, to learn how to keep things as editable as possible. PS is really good at preserving editability. It's making me afraid of commitment, LOL! RASTERIZE?! What?! I'm not ready for that, I need more TIME to think about it!

Oh gosh, ME TOO! I wish I'd have known about adjustment layers right from the beginning! Thanks Meryl, GREAT tip!
