Help! I am trying to make a postcard with multiple layouts on it. I have .psd and .jpeg files for each layout.

1) Should I be using the .jpeg versions of the layouts on the postcard?

2) All the layouts are 8x8 so they are obviously bigger than the postcard. Is there anyway to resize them to the same size, all at the same time? I resized one by using my move tool and dragging the corner bounding box while holding down my Shift key. Then I tried to look for my Front Image button but couldn't find it - isn't that the button that allows you to crop pictures to the same size? Does it only work with "crop" and not "move" - is that why I couldnt find it? Is there an easier way?

3) I would like to add a very, very thin border to all of my layouts, each in a complimentary color. I can't use the stroke, because I don't want rounded corners. What is the easiest way to do this?

Use the Crop Tool and just don't cut anythin goff. DRag the bounding box around the entire image: the numbers in the options bar will resize them all the same, but you have to do individually.

To do them at the same time, especially if you have a LOT you need to resize, then record an action of you resizing just one of them, the crop tool, or Image>Resize. Then under File>Automate you choose that action and the files you want to apply it to and it'll do all of them.

For just a few the crop tool is probably easiest, but this can be an opportunity for you to use the Automate function.

Use the JPG if they're good print quality. No reason to have layers if you don't plan on editing anything. If the jpg are only web quality, then use the psd, but you mgiht want to flatten them before putting on the image; that's a Lotta layers!
