I new to Photoshop 7 and I'm trying to follow your Beginner Brushes tutorial.
I have 2 questions, how do I make an inner shadow and second how is that when I follow the percentages given my brushes come out really huge.

There's lots of talented girls out there plz help. :( Lourdes

about the brushes being too big...you may have started at a different resolution...are you working at 200 dpi or 300 dpi??

Welcome to DSP!

When following tutorials, use whatever numbers seem best to you. The ones given are a guideline, but the image resolutions will make a difference

To make an Inner Shadow, use a layer style. Go to Layer>Layer Style>Inner Shadow and adjust the settings to your liking.

Of course, ask back with any more questions, and let us know how it goes!

When I look in the layers menu the layer style is gray out. Why is that?
Thanks for the tip on the resolution, that worked.

I finally got it. I'm still having trouble with the inner shadow around all 4 sides. It still looks good and very close to the example.
Thanks girls for your help. I appreciate it. I'll keep try the tutorials. I get it yet.
Thanks and God bless. :D ;)

Oh, glad you got it worked out!

To get the shadow showing on all 4 sides, in the Layer Styles dialog, when you check Inner Shadow, just click the WORD Inner Shadow to see the settings you can change. Adjust the Distance, Size, and Spread, as well as the Color and Opacity

If you'd like more help on these topics, I cover them in my Intro to Scrapping with Photoshop, DSU 110, offered in March. It's packed full of all this info and more.

Let us know if you have any other questions, we're happy to help!
