I have decided to add a new feature to the "scrapping with lisa" challenges. Each month will still be the same, in that you will be given the 4 kits of the month. But now, I will be doing a special weekly (inside the month) challenge. Each week, I will have a set plan. You can do it, or just stick to the regular monthly format. The challenges will be based on the 4 kits each month. You can jump in at any time, do them all at once, or do one a week. It's up to you.

I want to help you create beautiful layouts. I want to see your layouts shine. I hope these challenges will help you to get more creative and maybe help get some of you out of that scrapper's block that we all get in. :)

Week 1: Framing
Design a layout based on frames. You can frame your photos or even frame up some journaling. Framing your page with a paper cut out is also an option. Have you ever wanted to experiment with out of bounds style layouts? Now is a great time to learn.

Week 2: Journaling
I know journaling can be tricky, especially for beginners. Design a layout using journaling tabs, notebook paper, mats, or simply journal right onto the background paper. Get creative and try new fonts. Don't be shy. Experiment. Try to journal 5 or more sentences.

Week 3: Film Strips
Since I am featured over at the freestyle fandango this week, I thought we could do a play off of that challenge and work with film strips. Design a layout using film strips. You can use premade ones or make some out of paper. Your layout can do double duty for both challenges (read the rules there).

Week 4: Stacking Paper
Layering can be fun and effective. Design a layout by stacking papers. Cut them into shapes or into strips. Use several different papers to achieve a great look on your page.

As always, remember to post in the Scrappin' with Lisa gallery, and please post a link in this thread. Remember that you don't have to do this new challenge in order. You can do them all, you can do one, you can choose not to do them.

If you are new to my challenges, each month I assign four kits to work with. If you use the kits, you will get a bonus for each one you use. If you use all 4 for the month, you will get a special posting bonus prize. I can't wait to see your layouts. I hope you all enjoy the new challenges. I will be doing this every month.

Hi Lisa,
I really like this new format to your challenges. I probably won't do all of them each month (time), but I will always try and at least do one. I really like that you list all of the 4 kits at the beginning of the month and the 4 weekly challenges as well, and that we can work at our own pace through these. I know that some times, it can take me quite a long time to get the right photo for the kit and the prompt.
Right now, I'm trying to create pages for a family reunion which is happening in June, so some of my pages are of old photos, but I'm also trying to go "hip heritage" (as Bethy and Elizabeth) called it with some brighter colors.

I LOVE the kits for this month and plan on doing all of them. YAY!!! The additional weekly challenge prompts sound cool too.....if I am able to get my layouts done on a weekly basis. LOL.
