I am scanning in a ton of my wedding photos. I have a brand new CanoScan Lide 80 and it seems to work pretty well.

However, all of my scans have this kind of tiny "dust" or "lint" on them. My scanner bed is clean - I don't think that is the issue. I read on the Yahoo board that this might be the result of scanning a glossy picture (which all of my wedding pics are) because of the scanner light reflection - something like that.

What is the easiest way to clean these up in PSCS? I mean, there's a hundred little particles all over the picture.

heh, heh...have fun!

Try the Noise>Dust and Scratches filter and a liberal dose of the Clone Tool. Clean your photos and scanner with a microfiber towel, with lots of static cling on it from the dryer (think Swiffer cloth, microfleece, etc)

Also, the Median Filter can help, blurs central areas while preserving edges. Don't obsess. Clean one up a little and print it so you can see how much you'd like removed before going crazy doing every little speck
