View Full Version : anyone use mozy for backup and i am have problems

i didnt know where to post this but hope it works here. i have been using mozy backup for the last few months and loved it...no worries, goes on every night and its only 4.95 a month. all of a sudden it stopped working.. i have been spending my days with live support, unistalling, reinstalling etc....i am so frustrated and want to know if anyone has had this same experience. thanks

I don't use Mozy myself but I was interested in using their services. However, I've been seeing lots of posts across different forums about problems with it which is making me think twice. So while I don't know the answer or haven't had problems myself with the service, I'm interested in knowing about it.

So, with all that said...BTT!

i have used it for months and it has been great...it also got good reviews in computer magazines and sites...i have been having a problem after months of it being great and my having peace of mind and not having to spend time burning and find space for a zillion dvds. after a week with live chat support they finally called me to try and figure out what was going on. so i am glad they realized that it wasnt getting better and they wanted to figure it out...its still not entirely solved but i think they have narrowed it down to some corrupt folders i had on my computer and they will be calling me tomorrow..right now it seems that it is working and backing up.... so i would definately consider it .... also i would like to have some links you mention if possible to posts across different fourms about problems with mozy...thanks if you can let me know about those....also what is BTT?

I've been having huge problems with mozy and can't get any help from anyone on their end. They keep telling me it is a developer issue and that is it!!! This is the 3rd time that I haven't been able to back up for over a week and am getting ready to dump them. I can't even begin to tell you how frustrated I am. I have over 255gb backed up with them and if something happens I won't even be able to do a restore. Someone said that some personal from Mozy read these threads, well I sure hope they read mine because I'm ready to blow a gasket over this. They gave me a month free, but what good does that do when I can't back anything up. Sorry for the rant but I'm really upset about it all. I've tried so many times to email and have been in the support chat but they keep telling me it's something on their end and leave me hanging. This is a terrible way to handle things. So far I"m not impressed at all and would not suggest their service at all!!!!
