I know I use scrapbook magazines for inspiration all the time - I visit my local scrapbook store to check out the new ones that are in
Which magazines are your favourite for inspiration and why
I have to say that CK is up there for me - because ( well number one they have an edition printed in Australia and so its much cheaper than the US magazines )- but also because they are right up there with the new trends and thats what I like to see and use for inspiration
Also I like MM ( for similar reasons although the $25NZ price tag does put me off buying it!!.

$25 for one magazine? Wow- thats crazy!
I like CK and MM myself. In fact, I was in Michaels the other day and picked up a CK magazine but didnt get it because it was $14.00- will have to wait until payday to get it!
but hadn't bought any scrapbooking ones until recently. I must say I really liked both Creating Keepsakes and Simple Scrapbooks. The price was a bit more than what I pay for, say, InStyle, but $4.99 bought me sooooo much more with regard to content. I don't normally save my magazine issues past a certain time but in the case of scrap mags, I have already gone to Ikea to pick up some organizers because I will be subscribing to AT LEAST those two, maybe BH&G scrapbooks, etc as well.
I love the article from the May 2004 CK issue entitled "Mom's Little Photo Shoot" by Rhonda Stark [Margie's eyelet is credited in one of the sample layouts! :) ] It's just great to get inspiration, ideas, and see photos of children and families you *know* from the Place and other internet galleries featured in layouts.
And I was mistaken to think that I had to take a trip to the scrap store to get these issues. I found all three mentioned above at the local Albertson's grocer!

Subscriptions make it so much more affordable! I have subscriptions to both CK and SS. I like CK because all the newest trends are there and I like the collagy pages, even though I don't do them myself. I love SS because it is more my style!

Oh you American gals you just say these things to make me jealous - you live in consumer heaven - I wish I could subscribe and save - but the postage prices make it impossible - oh well- I am supporting my local scrapbook store even if I do have to take out a second mortgage to pay for some of these mags-
I saw one called Hot Off the Presses Making Designer scrapbook pages
and it was $55 - well now even I wont pay that amount!!!!!!!! - It did look Awesome tho

I haven't gotten into magazines yet. I have purchased a couple of "special" magazines, like one on teen memories, and a new one on "simply" layouts or something like that. They are great for inspiration.
Now that I just read the magazines are available at Albertsons, I think my grocery bill is going to start increasing ;)
