Hey ladies (and you, too, Tristan!)!

It's the beginning of a new month, and a great time to start the Photo-A-Day (PAD)! There are lots of great reasons to participate. . .

1. Great experience with your camera
2. You'll find yourself looking for beauty in everyday things
3. You'll be forced to think outside the box (because it's not always easy to find something new to take a picture of everyday)
4. It's summer! Think of all the great things out there just waiting to be captured on your memory card - flowers, vacations, pool time, etc.
5. You'll have a collection of photos you'll fall in love with (a collection you never would have had if you hadn't joined us in the PAD challenge!) Seriously, some of my favorite photos ever never would have been taken if I hadn't been looking for something worthy of posting on DSP!

The more people who participate, the more fun it is! I LOVE looking through a full gallery and getting inspiration from the great people here. Won't you join me in this month's PAD challenge? :)

Regarding PAD, how does this work? Sorry if this seems like a dumb question. I basically got the concept that you submit 1 photo a day to the gallery. Any more I need to or should know? Any advice/comments is appreciated even if it's to tell me to realize the obvious. :p I know it's the middle of the month, but I would like to submit photos to the PAD gallery.

EDIT: *sighs* Never mind. I read the rules for PAD. I need to look more!

Doh I'm already falling behind!! I still have taken pictures everyday, but by the time I get to work on the computer it's past midnight DSP time!! I'll try to be better :)

Oh, it's never too late to join in PAD!! Jump in whenever! And the rules are pretty simple - take at least one photo each day and post it to the PAD gallery here (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=2387) before midnight DSP time (Eastern). That's it! It's always nice to comment on other people's PADs as well, but that's not required. It's lots of fun to do, and really quite challenging. Come and join us!!

I don't usually put a link here, mostly because I'm just too lazy!! I always go straight to the PAD gallery every day to see what people have posted! Hopefully more people will post again once the holidays are over!

Gosh I'm a few days behind...I'll get mine in tomorrow. I have them, just having a problem at my parent's house with doing stuff and trying to get them on their antiquated computer. Hope it's okay to post a little late. They are for the correct days.

I did the same thing last year when my DH was deployed! It really kept me motivated to take photos, knowing that he would see them. I had him sign up here at DSP so that he could comment on the photos too, you may want to see if your DH wants to do that! How long is he going to be gone?? I'm assuming he is in the Navy, since you are up in WA. My DH just retired from the AF - 20 years in! Thank goodness he's home all the time now!!

No specific thread at the moment, but I think next month we will start PAD up again officially :) so keep an eye out :)
