Here are some very quick details for the photo walk.- More details will be added to this soon.
If we are all staying at the Crowne Plaza then we can meet in the lobby but otherwise we will meet at 4pm outside St Josephs Cathedral .
Im hoping it will be open and there wont be a service on at 4pm on a Friday!!! If there is well we will have to alter our plans a little
From what Ive read there is no service late on Fridays
You can read more about the church and see some photos of it here - http://www.stjosephcathedral.org/Home/Home/tabid/36/Default.aspx
From there we will walk up to the Plaza de Cesar Chavez which is a small city park with fountains and is surrounded by several museums including the museum of modern art and a technology museum .
We have only scheduled this as a relatively short photo walk - beginning at 4pm and lasting for approximately 2 hours - although we are nothing if not flexible!!
More details will follow but here is a map of the area

Oh, this really sounds very interesting and would love to be able to do this! It all depends on what costs add up to. I am retired and on a very limited income. I would so love to do the walk and see the Church!
YAY!!!! This looks awesome!! :)

If you are interested in getting an insight into some of the photos you could take - do a search on flickr for the cathedral , for the plaza de cesar chavez - for the museum of modern art etc - and esp for adobe HQ - there are some cool shots in the gallerys there .

That extra url takes one back to the beginning Adobe Crop announcement. You should be able to delete it by editing your signature.

I received an e-mail from Kim Liddiard asking me for my UserName. I sent in my reply and received an answer Ticket item. My questions is will I get the badge on line or will it be when one arrives at Crop. Thanks. Carti

I'll be getting in around 11:00 am friday so it looks like if they let me check in early I can squeeze in a quick nap before the photo walk. Getting up at 4am to make my flight might just kill me.

Count me in for the photo tour! I'm going to bring resident photo expert (DH) with me and hopefully a couple friends who are attending the crop as well. Now I just need to decide if we should stay at the hotel for the night...

I came across this photo via a post at Digital Photography School How to Take Great Group Photos (http://digital-photography-school.com/blog/how-to-take-great-group-photos/):

Photo by weaving major & tractor dan and found on flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/weavingmajor/202855657/)
I followed a few links and found a tutorial and basically you get people lined in a line, with a relatively plain/uniform foreground (grass, water, plain concrete) with a straight horizon, and then use the polar filter in Photoshop to warp the photo. Thought this might be kind of cool to try, and certainly a willing group of us!

Thats very cool - if the room at Adobe holds 92 and its nearly full you are going to need a VERY wide angle lens to get them all in - but this looks REALLY fun - Id love to try it out!!!

I have been without Internet Connection and could not get my email eithersince 7-08-08!
Found out from my ISP that if anyone download or automatically got New Service Pack III for Microsoft it causes a problem if you have Zone Alarm! I have been so frustrated and worried cause I knew I probably would get email re Adobe Crop photowalk etc.
I had to disable my Zone Alarm and was able to get Internet Explorer and emails. So when I saw messages I have printed them out.
Now, I am suppose to call Microsoft and have them walk me through uninstalling New Service Pack or see if they have a patch?
I use Windows XP. Has anyone else had problems with this?
I could not do anything as far as getting on forums, etc. I wish they would check these things out or let you know if it will interfere with anything. I had this on automatic update I think I will not do that any more and chose if I want it or not!

Carti, glad you are up and running again. You might check out this post ... Windows - (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=32836) for information on how to change your preferences for Automatic Updates.
I also run XP and Zone Alarm, so I am going to go research SP3!! I want to avoid whatever happened to you!

I also use XP and have not downloaded SP3. I seem to have problems every time there is an update so I don't download most of them. I have it set so it has to ask me before downloading so I don't get the automatic ones. Haven't had Zone Alarm for a while since I had trouble with it on my network. (always some problem! LOL) Sure glad you finally found out what the problem was! So frustrating when there is conflicts and you have no idea!

I received an email from Zone Alarm this evening:
ZoneAlarm security Advisory:
Microsoft Update KB951748 is known to cause loss of internet for Zone Alarm users on Windows XP/2000, Windows Vista users are not affected.
They give recommended actions.
What I am wondering is this Microsoft Update for Windows XP was downloaded automatically on July 8! that is when my Internet Explorer did not work. It said KB951748 for for Malicious Software Removal tool! Actually there was two downloads however, Zone Alarm only mentions the one above. So, maybe Microsoft considers Zone alarm malicious software? I did shut down Zone Alarm after a tech with my Internet provider told me to do this and it worked. I am leery about following instructions from Zone alarm I wonder about this?
Anyone know what is going on? Thanks. Carti
Thanks Kathleen08 for the information on stopping automatic updates!

I got the same e-mail from zone alarm since I used them before I got a new computer. When I got this computer I had a very hard time setting up my network and had to disable zone alarm and haven't used it since. I am not sure if they are talking about the same download that you got, but I'm sure you could probably safely do whatever they said to do. They are pretty reliable as far as I know. Sorry I'm not really any help!
