So excited - my camera is going to get a really good work out in July

I just have to share here with like minded photography geeks who can "get" how Im feeling - July is going to be such an amazing month for me photography wise.

Im taking my family on a week long trip to the south island in NZ - we are going to Lake Tekapo first - you can see some images of that here http://www.laketekapo.cc/

and then to top the whole month off - meeting lots of DSP members at ADOBE HQ ( http://www.flickr.com/search/?w=all&q=adobe+hq&m=text )
I mean - could life GET any better than that???????) - and should i buy myself a new portable external drive NOW - I dont know that my 125 and 250 gig ones are going to cope!!!!!!!!!!!

Lauren you are so lucky! You are going to see the beauty of Yosemite! And I would say yes you need a new EHD. Have a great time! I now see why you were so driven to learn your new camera.
My DH and I loved Queensland and then we did the Milford Track and stayed at Mt Cook. You have a beautiful country and I cant wait to see your photos from your homeland

Ive been browsing flickr.com for photos of the places Im going so I can get some inspiration for my photos - - _ its making me very impatient !!- I found another place Im hoping to visit on the way to Yosemite - its called Knights Ferry and it has a very long covered bridge and remains of an old mill too - looks like a great photo taking opportunity

There are lots of really tall waterfalls at Yosemite- and you can get really- really close to them-also at the entrance to the park if you turn right instead of going to the "valley floor" there is a sequoia forest- the trees are huge (girth wise) and the pine cones, well... they measure about 18-24" long- be sure to bring a wide angle lens! Have fun.

sounds awesome -we are actually staying in some condominiums in the valley so we will be right amongst it all - cant wait =and wow 2 feet long pinecones!!!!!!!!!
