Week 2 - Oh! My Word… 10 June to 16 June - This week you will be given a WORD, just one, that you have to include in the title of your layout. For example, lets say the chosen word is TIME; I might have a title something like this “TIME and tide wait for no man” or “She has a TIMELESS Beauty that is always admired”. So you see you can extend the word to include all its possible meanings.

Create a layout using the prompt below and upload it to the Oh! My Word (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/forum/../gallery/showgallery.php?cat=5864) Gallery. Check the introduction to this challenge here (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=31603) for clarification.

:) Some Clarification for the prize: This is a 4-week long challenge with a different theme each week. You can decide whether you want to create a layout for one or all four of the weekly challenges it’s totally up to you. However, if you do enter all four weekly challenges you’ll be in the random draw at the end of the month for a store coupon to the value of $3.99. Example - 4 layouts, one in each weekly challenge. For the rest of the challenge introduction check out the link above.

Oh! My Word prompt for this week is: FORGIVENESS

Some really simple rules: :)

* Please use only DSP products
* Ploppers and QC’s are OK
* Must include some journaling or themed title
* Your LO can be ANY style, even a none traditional style, a style all your own, in fact, let your hair down and go creatively wild!
* You can have any number of photos or none at all
* Your LO can do double duty as long as you put a link in the forum for that week, especially if you intend to do all four challenges. How will I know to include you in the draw otherwise
* Please comment generously on other member’s layouts in this challenge. I know I don’t really need to ask you that because you’re all so good at it anyway.

Have fun with this challenge - anything goes...:lol::lol:

I was just thinking that the four layouts per month would be great for an "all about me" book. So, I went searching for the previous months' assignments. I could find only those for May. Didn't this challenge start earlier in the year? If so, where are those puppies hiding?

This is a new challenge I started in May when I became a designer - so I don't know anything about another one - sorry. I am re-thinking this challenge to accommodate peoples hectic lives so am thinking I might put all four weeks up at the beginning of each month. I'm open to ideas!!

I like this idea of building a layout around a word and I just heard a really great quotation about forgiveness. I'll try to get a page done.

I think it would help putting all the weeks up first, I didnt do the challenge this month knowing how busy I would be thru it...but I love the challenges Erica so don't stop :) hopefully I'll be back next month....

I think putting all the weeks up would be a great idea! In honor of the first week's challenge this month, I am still procrastinating and have not completed it yet.

We are moving to a new home and I'm spending all my time packing, but as soon as I get an open window I plan on getting all of my Oh! My word LO's completed though I'll never get each one completed by the weekly deadlines - does it count as long as they are done by the end of the month?...I think this is a wonderful challenge...gives me an opportunity to scrap something other than my little girls.

It seems the idea of having all 4 weeks up at once is what will work for those that have limited time. So as from week 3 (17 - 23 June) I'll put week 4 up as well and at the beginning of July I'll put all 4 weeks up and re-vamp the rules to accommodate this.

This is taking longer than I planned...I'm stumped for a good FORGIVENESS layout...AAHHH!!!! Why is this so hard? Again, no good picture to work with and I don't know what to do....have to think....will miss this deadline too I'm sure...(maybe I should forgive myself for taking this so seriously:) )

4 weeks at once would work a lot better for me too!

so funny Imilgram - I think that's a great idea for a LO and in the intro to this monthly challenge I say you don't have to use any photos if you don't want to.

Here is my "Forgiveness" page. It's a few minutes late, Tthe journaling took a while and I lost track of the time.

Does it have to be the word "forgiveness" or can it be a form of it such as forgiven or forgive?

Yes it can - here are the instructions at the beginning of this thread - hope this helps and I look forward to what you come up with. If you have any more Q's just ask away.
