At previous crops we have swapped ATCs- these are cards you create that say something about yourself - like kids trading cards only you can use your creativity to create something unique
Cards are usually 2.5x 3.5 inches - you can do them single sided or double sided, laminated or not - its up to you

2.5x3.5 is perfect for your badge holders! you'll get those there for your registration badge you'll get in the mail. it'll be one sided so your atc can go on the other side!

and maybe you'll win a wacom tablet so you can sign your cards for the next crop! :D
Dennis Hoff from Wacom will be at the crop to demonstrate their tablets AND he'll be bringing some tablets to give away! You might win a Bamboo Fun Tablet (http://www.wacom.com/bambootablet/bamboofun.cfm)!

ok, I haven't done any atc cards before - what is the best way to print them? Is there any information that should be included on them? Thanks!!
Lauren

They are really just an expression of your creativity - they dont need to include anything much except your name so that they can be identified - - usually I put something about myself - I will upload a few of my old ATCs from previous crops to the gallery shortly and post a link here
There are various ways to print them - If you just want one sided cards then they print well 9 to a page - and then just cut them out (I bribe my kids to trim mine for me and laminate them)
You dont have to laminate your cards - its completely up to you !!-

Ok Ive uploaded 3 of my ATC cards just to give you an idea of what I do - its completely up to you what you do though - these are just for inspiration - I like to use the same quote on all my cards but as you can see everything else changes!!!

Okay - do you know how hard it is to choose a kit to do these ATC cards with!!! Oh my goodness, I don't have just one favorite designer or even one kit! I may have to put the names in a hat and have Megan draw the winning kit

I've got a cool background for my ATC but all the photos of me are really really bad...have this bad habit of closing my eyes right when picture is taken...any ideas, I'm stuck!

my trick! take 50 pictures! you're bound to get ONE good one. :D
:lol::lol: I finished designing my ATC cards and was trying to print them (after replacing all my ink cartridges) and since the cards are dual sided was working on getting them centered.........will be going to Staples printing tomorrow! Costs about half the price of my ink cartridges, which I am quickly draining...
BUT after all that I looked up and it was 10:58 which is 11:58 dsp time, and I forgot to check out of the DSP Store! I MISSED THE SALE!!!!!!!!!:no::no:
Oh, well, after buying the cartridges today, I guess I need to save the money.

oh great job! and pez, i'm just shocked! :yikes:
I just picked mine up from Costco (I'm not a double-sided ATC sort of person...too lazy!). I'm not posting...but I printed out 60 so you can see it there (not everyone will get one, but I always leave these things with extra so...) Almost time!!! YAY!

Just did a trial print out at Costco. My Atc's turned out kinda cool. I'm shocked I actually took a picture of myself without my eyes closed!! I've been practising keeping eyes open when picture is taken so maybe I won't mess up anyone's pictures this time!
Costco prints out 4 on a 5x7 for .39 cents each....I'm letting Costco do all my work(just have to remember to check the lustre not glossy, don't like glossy for some reason)...

I'm not real fond of glossy, I think it goes back to when I worked in a one hour lab. Not that it matters this time since I decided to play with my husband's laminator.
Here's a cover I made for my ATC card holder pages.

Ok Ladies, I'm officially jealous! LOL.
I just landed here at DSP, and barely have my feet damp. Your ATCs are wonderful. Have a great time at the crop (and swap). (hangs head, mutters to self about how much I have to learn about this stuff. )
Welcome to DDSP wndyeliza!! You're going to love it and there is a lot to learn, but it's so much fun learning along the way. Everyone at DSP is extremely helpful AND it's a friendly group!
