July: Tag Cloud Word Art

Shaking this challenge up a bit. :)

Your assignment for July (yeah, starting a bit early) is to create a Tag Cloud for a layout. Any font, any subject. Just have fun with it!!!! Look at it as a way to DEFINE your page. :yes: No prizes this time, but feel free to combine with any other challenge going on!

What's a Tag Cloud??? (thanks, Molly, for asking!)
A tag cloud is a group of words, usually in the same font, but some have more 'weight' to them than others - and have a larger font size to them. On the internet you'll see these "tag clouds" on blogs and other places - we even have one right here on the front page of the store (http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com) - each word is a link to the items 'tagged' with that word.

So, to make one, just make a list of words that help DEFINE your page and then start with ones with more meaning or weight and then fill in with the ones that should be in a smaller font. If you get stuck, you can always work with a thesarus to expand on some of the words you have.

Here's the start of mine, as I can see doing a lot of these in my vacation album I'm working on right now (to start with) on my blog (http://snowmoon.us/blog) - using it to help organize. I think this will become one of the elements to tie the album all together.

I have to chuckle - growing up I would often get to thinking on something and then start talking to my family about whatever it was and they had to point out to me that I made a mental leap without taking them along. I'm much better about not doing that these days, but I guess when I get jazzed on something I need to pay extra close attention to that! LOLOLOL.

I think I'm in love with this idea - I'm finding it's forcing me to prioritize the words to figure out the size the font needs to be. But yeah, I can see this really working its way into a lot more of my layouts. :)

Ok, I am having way too much fun at WORDLE. This is gonna be a blast!

I was so inspired by this that I had to use it right away. I had made a page some months ago. The pictures are tiny, because we had uploaded them to the web, to share, and the originals were lost due to a hard drive crash :( So I was only able to get miniscule copies of them from the website we uploaded them to. Anywhoo, I had these small photos kind of swimming around a layout, making a tag cloud helped give some fun and content to an otherwise sad looking page.

This was a lot of fun! First, I needed to realized I had to come up with the words! (lol, I thought Wordie was going to help me think of the words and I would have to figure out how to place them! Glad it was the other way around!) When I got going, I came up with plenty of words!
