PS7 Where is my Save to Web Feature

For some reason when I goto file Save for web...the new window does not open....WHAT IS GOING ON...man I'm starting to regret having PS7 on my Windows XP computer.

Mine always took FOREVER to open - so I never used it. Just resize myself :)

arrrgghhh I'm starting to like PSE much much better I never had problems with it. :mad:

What else in PS7 doesn't work right?
It messes up when i try to locate files on my harddrive & now the save for web feature doesn't work.


Is any of this fixed in CS???? Or do things get worse?

Liz, I have only been working with PSCS for a very short time. But so far, no problems. I'm running Windows XP and I have had no problems with the Save for Web feature and no problems with finding my files.

(now watch ... I probably jinxed myself ... my next post will probably be a HELP ME :eek: ).

scratching my head here: I used PS 7 and PS CS on Windows XP with no bugs or issues either

Liz, if you like PSE better, then just use PS 7 to make your own presets like layer styles, brushes, custom shapes, etc. There area few other things not included

FWIW, the PSE Save for Web is waaaay better than the PS one, even PSE2 is better than PSCS in this. You can resize the layout right on there, can't in PS

Can you open IR on it's own?

No Save for web doesnt open image ready in either my v7 or ps cs software- it does take a little while for the window to open but i do love it !!- I love to see the 2up or 4 up screen where i can compare the compression of each image . Just give it a little time and it will bring up the new window ( I think the first time you use it in each session is the slowest ( a bit like the liquify window - after the first time its a bit quicker to open)

Yes, sorry the mind was full of space. I rarely ever use SaveFTW or IR because I was an avid fan of the old Export as Gif89a. I don't do Web design anymore. Then in version 5 they eliminated Gif89a and brought in IR which became the new way to make Transparent Gifs and from there started the SaveFTW and now it's under the main File heading in PS. "I think"
